Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shoveling Again :-( Bought the blower (thrower) a few months ago...got our first snow overnight - 7-inches of dry snow (6 degrees out). Put the battery in, held the button and raised the safety bar and pushed slowly into the snow - got about 10 feet and it stopped. Backed off and repeated - as soon as it hit the snow this time it stopped. Made several more attempts with the same result. I hope there is an adjustable pressure/resistance setting some where. I'm dead in the (frozen) water.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Reliable I bought an 80V 2AMH snow thrower in early December and used it twice successfully. On the third use it shut off continuously and could not be used. Greenworks authorized a replacement at my retailer but I had the same trouble on first use. A second replacement (now my 3rd unit) was authorized and this one won't clear a 10' path without shutting off 4 or 5 times either and now it will not work at all. As a senior citizen I need something reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outperformed expectations - by a longshot! We bought this on a whim early last season (late 2015), hoping that it would do well enough to clear drifts from the chicken coop. We figured we could use it for the deck as well, since the 12 hp blower is a bit large for that. It's certainly light enough to carry into the coop. But I was tickled pink to find that this little guy chewed right through the crusty, windblown heaps of snow. Since they were large piles, I thought I would have to do a lot of knocking down of the snow as I went, but with the dense, heavy stuff, the flat bottom of the blower "floated" enough to make its own plane, then worked down in layers. A foot of snow on the deck was no problem. So, this thing is battery powered. The biggest mistake I see people make with them are many. Don't store them on the charger. Discharge them fully on a regular basis - not every time, but regularly. And number one? Cold affects the power output of a battery. Keep the battery indoors until you are ready to use it. If you are going to pause long enough for the battery to chill down, pull it out and put it someplace warm. We've used it down to -12 F, and so long as you keep it churning or the battery warm, it will do what you need it to. Running it at nearly full capacity (pushing snow through it about 80-90% of the time it's running), it lasts 40 minutes. That's quite a bit, IMO. For benchmark purposes, we live in Colorado at 10,000+ ft, about 5 miles off the Continental Divide. We used the machine for 3/4 or more of last season, and are just getting started this season. The battery is still holding up fantastically.

We are having problems with the battery. It looks like the battery is charged, but when I put it into the snow blower, the lights on the battery turn off and the snow blower won't start.

I purchase my Greenworks 80V Snowthrower and just got a chance to use it. Started well enough, but 4 inches of wet snow. The chute plugs up almost immediately. It keeps working, but throws everything forward. Any suggestions?

Asked by: Arrakeen
Hello Arrakeen, Regardless of the type of snow thrower, and depending on the condition of the snow it will stick to the chute. To reduce the issues with snow clogging you can use an ice repellent lubricant on the chute. To have the chute throw to the side, adjust the chute position by either manually moving the head or turning the control rod, and adjust the angle of the chute head manually to ensure that the chute throws at a lower distance instead of straight up. If you are still having difficulty with this issue please contact support at info@greenworkstools.com. for further assistance.

I have a Greeworks Pro snow thrower. When using it is it better to turn it off when turning around to clear the next row of snow or should I keep it running? Which saves the battery? So is stopping and restarting use more power?

Asked by: Tfaller
Hello tfaller, This really depends on how far away the next patch of snow is, otherwise there is not a significant difference of leaving the snow thrower on vs restarting it when you get to the next area. Please feel free to contact us at info@greenworkstools.com should you require more information.

Do you actually have the GreenWorks Pro 80V 20 inch snow blower available? Your web site keeps telling me to pick an option but when I do, both of them are supposedly 'out of stock'. Since most other stores don't seem to have them available either I'd

I've a 80V Snowthrower 13 months, used 4-6 times in the last year. It's 10F in Bend, OR today and the unit would only run seconds, now dead. Both batteries are fully charged inside. I shoveled most and now just trying to do about 2"-same issue. Not happy.
