Works really well.
These work great. No more fumes or noise from the old gas powered equipment. Just make sure you have a long enough outdoor extension cord.

What kind of extension cord do I need for this mower?

This unit can use the following extension gauge and length, at 50' (15 m) cord, use 16 AWG; at a 100' (30 m) cord, use 14 AWG. at a 150' (45 m) cord, use 12 AWG. Use only a CSA or equivalent agency listed extension cord that is approved for outdoor use.

No, all these units require an extension cord ( not included) for operation. It will not work on battery power as it's not designed for it.

Lawn mower manuel says use 50 ft 16 gauge, but here says recommend 50ft 14 gauge wire. Does it matter which one to use?

For a 50' (15 m) cord, use at least a 16 AWG cord.
For a 100' (30 m) cord, use at least a 14 AWG cord.
For a 150' (45 m) cord, use at least a 12 AWG cord.

I'm a faithful Green works user with these three accessories. Please, find a way to store and carry the string trimmer and blower on the lawn mower. For battery versions, all should charge through one single cord! Advice from a retired product manager.
