Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Mower! We bought this mower when we got our house about a year ago. We were a little concerned with the lack of motor because our yard has some steep inclines and a lot of trees that drop little sticks, but wanted to try to have something environmentally friendly. This mower works great! Its very light so pushing it up the incline while keeping the blades turning is not a problem. Sticks do get caught in it and you have to stop and pull them out, but its not diffcult to do that. The only small issue that we have is that the thicker really tall grass that occasionally shoots up around the yard is unphased by this mower, but we just wait until the end of Spring and then cut all those down and are good to go. I would highly reccomend this mower and encourage others to purchase it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not stand up I bought the mower and used it on our very small amount of grass for one season. With the first use this year, the adjustment for height continually pops out, pushing one side to the lowest setting. It is not well made and has a handle that is flimsy, a catch unit that does not work well. I regret the purchase as buying a more expensive, but better made unit would have been a far better answer that would have lasted more than the less than 10 uses I got out of this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from wonderful product! Was so happy to purchase this lawn mower. But sad after trying to mow my lawn. Every little stick or pine cone got stack on blades. Had to removed by hand. so for that reason I will be returning it. Also is NO QUITE

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just Okay Like other reviews, the smallest twig would jam up the blades which was SUPER annoying. We’ve had the product for less than a year and the grass catcher attachment is already ripped and there doesn’t seem to be a replacement part available.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wheels will not turn I bought this mower to do little in between clean ups but I am putting it together and the wheel are locked up and will not move forward. I’m not that mechanical so I don’t know if this is something I’m doing wrong or I need to take it back

How can make work.  The wheel are locked and not instructions on how to unlock the wheel to make work.

Asked by: Colibri
Hello Colibri, Misalignment can occur, often caused by blades being too loose or too tight. This can cause an uneven cut or difficulty pushing the mower. Each end of the cutting bar is adjusted separately. To move the cutting bar closer to the blades, turn the adjustment screw clockwise. To move the cutting bar away from the blades, turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise. Adjusting the screws for blade adjustments is a very sensitive procedure. A sixteenth of a turn is considered a major adjustment. Before tightening one adjustment screw, make sure to loosen the opposite screw an equal amount. To check the adjustment, turn the mower upside down. Insert a piece of paper between cutter bar and reel blades, and slowly turn wheel by hand. All blades should slice the paper evenly, along the entire length of the cutter bar while the reel turns smoothly. If mower has an intermittent cut, adjustment should be made to the appropriate side of blades to attain proper cutting action. Do not over-tighten adjustment screws, as this could damage cutter bar. Both screws must be tight on final adjustment.

Do you sell parts for this mower? The plastic pieces that hold the height adjustment mechanisms to the lower roller/stabilizer both cracked and came apart.

I got the 16 inch reel mower but the instructions are not clear on how to hook up the grass catcher. Is there a video or better instructions?

Asked by: Mr Mower
Hello Mr Mower Thank you for your question. First, feed the U-shaped metal frame through the pockets in the grass catcher bag. Next step is to find the C-shaped clamps that are at the ends of the U-frame. Fasten those clamps onto the bottom roller that spans almost the width of the mower. This bottom roller is in the back and the C-clamps fit on it perfectly. Then use the belt to attach it to the bottom bar in the handle. Once you figure out how it goes, it does make sense. If you have tried this suggestion and are still experiencing an issue, please kindly contact us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or by email on info@greenworkstools.com for further assistance.

How do you take the wheels off of the mower? I've been trying to figure this out because I want to reposition them baut I cant't seem to get the bolts and everything else undone. Do you that you could lay it out step by step with required tools to help?

Asked by: MowerGod123
Hello MowerGod123 Here are the steps to remove the mower wheels: 1) Pop wheel cap off 2) Use C-clip spreaders to remove retaining c-clip. 3) Pull wheel off axle. *please note, wheel cannot be re-positioned as it is geared directly to the blade reel.

How do I sharpen the blades on my greenworks reel push mower

Asked by: Mowerman
Hi there, For sharpening the blade, you can take the unit to a repair shop to have the blade sharpened professionally or you can purchase a sharpening kit. The kit contains a compound that you can brush on the blade and leave for a few minutes. Once the required time is up, the blade is ready to use.

I bought one of these at a yard sale. Looks fairly new but it won’t go forward only backward and the reel doesn’t turn at all. Not rusty. Does it have a lock somewhere?
