Can you turn off soap then spray water? So you don't take soap off. Please reply.

Asked by: Wizard
Hello Wizard, When using the soap function, the black 75-degree tip is necessary for the right amount of air and soap mixture to allow the soap tank to expel soap into the water line and mix. To stop the flow of soap simply change the nozzle/pressure washer tip.

My pressure washer has developed a leak in the handle. I took the handle apart and found that there is a hairline crack in the black plastic tube near where the wand fits into the handle. Is that part available, or do I need a new handle assembly?

Asked by: Mike2947
Hello Mike2947, Sorry to hear of the problem you are experiencing with your pressure washer. I would like to go over purging with you as well as offer some additional troubleshooting suggestions. Should you still require further assistance, we would be interested in hearing more about this issue. Please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). Removing Air from The Line / Bleeding Out the Unit: Purge any excess air from the pump. Set up the unit as per usual and ensure you are not using an extension cord. Remove any nozzle that may be connected at the end of the wand. Make sure that you have a green light on the GFCI on the power cord. Turn your garden hose on but leave the pressure washer turned OFF. With the pressure washer turned off, squeeze on the trigger for about 3 minutes – allowing the water to run through the unit at no pressure. In doing so, you are bleeding the unit out of any air that may be stuck in the pump. After 3 minutes, turn the unit on. If it is running, reinstall one of your clean nozzles and continue using the unit. Lastly, ensure that the water source is fully opened and is at least 60PSI. There should be 10' of unrestricted garden hose between the hose connection and the unit, any kinks will prevent the flow of water going into the unit and prevent proper pressure.

I hook everything up to the washer and it still won't come on what am I doing wrong??

Asked by: teflon
Hello teflon, For all of our pressure washers, when the users unit will not turn on, it starts pulsating or turning off during use most of the time it is due to air that is stuck in the pump from the previous use. This can be fixed by assembling the unit as per usual, no extension cord. After 3 minutes, reinstall your nozzle and continue squeezing the trigger then turn on the unit with your opposite hand. At this point, any trapped air should be eliminated – thus allowing the unit to run freely. *Please try all nozzles and note any differences in performance. Should you still require further assistance, we would be interested in hearing more about this issue. Please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).

Water pressure will pulsate on and off. Will not stay on continuously. Unit is 13 months old. 1700-PSI 13 AMP 1.2-GPM ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHER Model 5103902VT. What is problem?

Asked by: maxygolf
Hello maxygolf - We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your pressure washer. This issue can be caused by a few factors such as excess air trapped in the pump, clogged nozzles or no nozzle being installed. Here you will find some troubleshooting suggestions to resolve these issues. 1) To clean the nozzles, soak all of your nozzles in a half and half mixture of warm water and white vinegar. Soak all the nozzles for about an hour and then proceed to poke your nozzle cleaning tool or paper clip through the end of the nozzle hole to poke out any debris. After you have done this, rinse them with warm water. Your nozzles will now be free of any obstructions causing the unit to malfunction. 2) Purge any excess air from the pump. 3) Ensure a nozzle is connected. 4) Ensure that the water source is fully opened and is at least 60PSI. 5) There should be 10' of unrestricted garden hose between the hose connection and the unit, any kinks will prevent the flow of water from going into the unit and prevent proper pressure. If you have tried these steps and are still experiencing issues, please send us an email at info@greenworkstools.com or call our helpline at 1-888-909-6757.

The pressure washer is plugged in with good water pressure and a lit plug light. When I press the power ON button, nothing happens. No sound. No switch light. How can I fix this?

Asked by: LouD
Hello LouD, Please make sure to purge your unit prior to use: The unit should be off. Connect the garden hose to the pressure washer. Connect the high pressure hose and the spray gun/wand. No nozzle. Turn the water on. Hold down and squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge out any water or air from the unit for a good 1 - 2 minutes. This will relieve any built-up pressure. While you're still holding the trigger switch the pressure washer to on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Be Gentle with this Pressure Washer I've had the washer for almost a year now. About 3 months in the hose for the pressure washer got locked on (just bad connection on unit, which I believe the threads are stripped, but at least there's no leaks.) I wash the cars with it all the time, but be aware the pressure washer hose it a bit short so it's constant moving around to get around the vehicle. The machine does put out a good amount of pressure and for what I use it for, it's great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW! I bought this today on sale at Lowe's for $99.99 as part of a Mother's Day Sale. This is my first GreenWorks Product. At first glance, this was super easy to set up. I used it for roughly 1.5 hours on siding on my building. I used the lowest pressure nozzle it came with and it did very well. Definitely pleased with how quiet it is as well as it was able to remove lots of dirt & grime. 7 years of build up actually. Out of curiosity I decided to hit my driveway which has not been pressure washed ever. The driveway is 38 years old. I was AMAZED at how well it cleaned the driveway using the high pressure nozzle it came with. There are a lot of bad reviews on here but so far I am pleased. I plan to use this on my entire 60 foot long driveway. I have one con: I did notice when I let go of the trigger, twice out of maybe 30 times in 1.5 hours; the motor started running after I let go for about 3 seconds but then it stopped. That is why I am giving it 5 stars with 4 stars on durability because I feel that could present an issue eventually. I will update my review if I have any issues but for now I am very impressed with the power of this little machine; especially for the price point.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only worked two times I bought this unit 6 months ago. I used it once when I first got it and one other time about a month ago. It worked well the two times it worked. I went to go turn it on a few days ago and it wouldn’t start at all. I tried multiple outlets, reset all the outlets, used the reset button on the plug also and absolutely nothing. I reached out to customer service and haven’t heard anything from them. I’m disappointed by this product and lack of customer service. Definitely do not recommend and will not buy anything from green works again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing This product worked once, but then does not work after the initial use. After securing every connection, fully turning on the water supply, and then we plugging the unit into the outlet and powering the unit on, the pressure washer powers on, the motor runs for approximately five seconds, and then the unit frustratingly shuts off. I ensured every connection is secured and the unit is receiving ample water supply, but the unit will not respond and refuses to stay on longer than five seconds. I then tried to call the Customer Service 1-800 line, and found out I was 64th in the waiting queue. Unfortunately, it seems as though other people may be having similar issues. Can someone please help how I can possibly force the unit stay on longer than the aforementioned five seconds?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Will not accept accessories I bought this with an idea for one type of job... and I wish I hadn't. After finally getting it out of my car and unpacked, I realized I needed a hose and while there, I purchased an extended wand attachment.... well guess what. The "gun" that comes with the $99 pkg does not accept any kind of accessory cuz it's "designed" not to. Back to Lowes. So I buy a WHOLE NEW UPGRADED gun... AND... NOW i have to buy a NEW soap dispenser cuz.... NEW GUN WILL NOT ACCOMMODATE THE ONE THAT CAME WITH $99 pkg. On a positive note.... I do like the way it works... and will no doubt do the jobs (and more) that I intended for the purchase. HOWEVER... feeling really "worked over" about how the cheaper product turns out to be WAY CHEAP... and not accepting of the accessory parts. My advice: spend it up front for the more expensive $150+ up of this Greenworks product. I suspect THOSE versions will be more accepting of the accessories that you may decide you want... longer wands, etc.

I tried this, event though is was below 45 degrees outside, but the telephone line disconnected. I finally got a response to my email (1+ month later). The rep and I reviewed all steps and trouble shooting efforts to resolve and eventually, the representative agreed to send a replacement nozzle. I received it this morning. I won't know if it works yet, but will try in the spring. The representative was very helpful and efficient. I would suggest, rather than waiting indefinitely to speak to someone, ask for a call-back or send an email. The only complaint at this time is the difficulty reaching someone at Greenworks. It's concerning that it took so long to reach someone. Can't wait to try it on the garage floor!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy, terrible quality I bought this from lowes and used it for the first time today. After about 2 minutes of use the hose sprung a leak about 5 feet from the spray handle and split open. It is completely unusable now. I will never buy a greenworks product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Portable Pressure Washer This has been a nice little pressure washer for around the house. The compact size and ease of use make it a must have house hold item. My only complaint would been the length of the washer hose, it could use a few more feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight but Mighty I’ve owned numerous pressure washers but the Greenworks 1700 PSI is the best yet. It is light enough that my wife is able to use it without effort. Does an excellent job.I will consider buying other Greenworks products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spinning spray head I use this sprayer to rinse my RV after washing with a brush on a pole. This sprayer is not designed to remove the fine dirt accumulation and give the same results as a brush.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sorry! did not meet the expectation I bought this thinking our siding panel would be power washed and look better. But to my disappointment the stain still remains and mold and algae did not get washed away. thanks again for providing an opportunity to express our concerns, appreciate it .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slowly falls apart Within the first few uses the turbo tip quite spinning and didn't not act as it first did. Then within a month the device won't come on at all. I reset the fuse on the plug and it immediately re-trips. The machine is pretty much useless now. Waste of money for sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from compact I saw my neighbor using one of these. He loved it so I decided to try it. It's about 1/3 the size of my old washer so my wife LOVES that! I have only used it once so far but it's much easier to handle than my old one! Great price too, when it's on sale!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So many uses! I bought this pressure washer on a recommendation and am so glad I did. It’s easy to use and works well. I cleaned a wooden ramp, vinyl fence, painted shingles, brick steps. Excellent value for the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from One Outraged Customer The product is your 1700 PSI Electric Pressure Washer GPW1704. I used the Washer to clean my driveway pavers yesterday. After pausing for lunch, I attempted to resume my work. The Washer would not start. This was extremely frustrating. I reviewed your Troubleshooting recommendations in your manual. None of that helped. I phoned your Customer Service. I was told I was number 252 in the queue. That's quite unbelievable. I read the questions and answers on your web site. Today, I followed your written guidelines to purge the Washer. I set up everything, followed your insructions, and still the Washer would not start. I phoned Customer Service again. I was told that I was number 54 in the queue! I have wasted a tremendous amount of my limited time trying to get this piece of equipmet to work. Right now, I am outraged by all of this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed We bought this a month ago and it did our house fine with no issues. A couple weeks later we attempted our deck and couldn’t even finish it. It started producing an electrical smell and the unit was very hot after 30 minutes. It was placed back in the box and stored property after the first use. We will be returning it and will also have to buy another pressure washer or borrow one just to finish our deck.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Bit Disappointed I bought this pressure washer just under 12 months ago and today as I am washing my wife's car the hose connecting to the machine and sprayer ruptured and it's useless now. I recommended this product to by father-in-law just a couple months ago and now I'm ashamed to tell him what happened. Otherwise, I absolutely loved this product. Now I have to see if they will replace it at no cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for what I need I bought this after I used a friends machine to wash my deck. It’s so easy to move around with. I’ve used bigger gas machines before , this little beauty did the same job but without the hassle of having to lug around a big heavy unit. I like the fact I don’t need gas. Bought this in the fall , can’t wait until the spring and summer to really put this to work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful product for household use Bought this to replace my son's just like it. Now I want to get one for my household! Easy to use, powerful, but doesn't kickback. I got obsessed. Cleaned driveway apron, sidewalk, wrap around porch, 2 patios, gutters, a wooden bridge, concrete bench and aluminum with vinyl seating patio furniture I thought we'd have to say good bye to. Not now!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great While it Worked I bought the washer just under a year ago from Lowe’s and it worked well for the summer, perfect for washing cars and light duty house work. Unfortunately after time it does not work as well. The machine turns on and off while washing and won’t run at all other times. I will most likely just break down and buy another since I like the first one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DOA Pressure Washer I am unable to review the product because it will not start. I bought it about a year as a backup to my other Greenworks washer. I set up the unit and it would not run at all. Greenworks was very pleasant but unable to do anything. If you buy a Greenworks product test it immediately otherwise you may have no recourse and be out 100 bucks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Power issues Have had this washer for a few years but it only worked well the 1st year. Whatever outlet I plugged it into, the unit never passed the “test”. Also, it Isn’t supposed to be plugged in with an extension cord. Then, the cord itself should be longer than 35 feet. Very disappointed in this product.
