What does the soap tank do? Does that take the place of need for a foam cannon? If not, what foam cannon attachments will work with this unit?

Asked by: Augustine
Hello there, The soap tank holds the soap. When you have the black soap nozzle on, the unit will release the soap at low pressure onto the desired surface. Soap cannot be applied at high-pressure with this unit when using the soap nozzle. We have a high-pressure soap applicator that attaches at the end of the wand for high-pressure soap applications, this can be purchased separately. We have not released a foam-cannon and unfortunately, are unsure of the compatibility with other brands of foam cannons.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great electric power washer not smartest design Purchased this 2 months ago for a great price! Website listed it on sale. This electric power washer is perfect for at home use. Cleans pavement, decking, car, and a myriad of other items with the different nozzle attachments. Conserves on energy by only running when activated and has plenty of power to clean most stains/debris. Only design flaw is the reel housing for the hose. Poorly placed and poorly designed. I removed the bulky reel housing and use the handle of the gun to hang the hose on. I am thinking of adding hooks to each side of the frame to hang hose and extension cord.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding power washer for around the home. I've had one for over three years, always ready to get the job done. You never realize how often you'll use it until you have one. Lives out doors year round in New England. Just blow the water out of the pump section.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Pressure Washer Overall, this is a very good pressure washer. My initial impressions after assembly: • There are six screws included, two of which are larger than the other four. The four smaller screws are used to attach the panel that holds the spray tips, while the larger two are for attaching the wand holder. • The foam tube on the handle was not properly centered, and moving it was difficult. Not really an issue, but a minor nuisance. • The detergent tank is a bit loose on its holder. It doesn't seem likely to fall off during transportation or operation, but it does move some when filling the tank. It appears that the bolts holding the tank in place can be tightened with a hex key, which might help with this issue. • The GFCI on the power cord is separate from the plug, allowing connection to receptacles in weatherproof boxes or under folding covers. I proceeded to test it on a brick and concrete porch. There was some algae on a step where the brick meets the floor of the porch. After applying some all-purpose pressure washer detergent and using the Turbo nozzle, the algae was gone. This machine had no difficulty removing mildew from brick with the 25° nozzle. For an extreme test, I used it to clean some old bricks that had been halfway buried and untouched for 80+ years. The bricks were covered in mud, caked dirt, moss, mildew, and algae. I began the cleaning procedure by washing the loose dirt off with the 40° nozzle, followed by all-purpose detergent from the soap nozzle. After letting the bricks soak for a few minutes, I used the 25° nozzle to blast off the soap along with nearly a century of various buildup. I did use the Turbo nozzle to remove anything that may have been missed, but the 25° took care of it. Within minutes, all of the bricks were looking close to new! The hose reel is a good storage feature, though I feel it could have been better. There are clips at each end for the couplers, but the coupler on the reel will hit the the pump/motor housing as it passes anyway. To avoid this, I have to spin the reel with one hand while holding the coupler with the other until it clears the housing, which is about half of a turn. The spray gun is sometimes a bit loose in its holder, but it stays unless bumped. Water will slowly drip out of the nozzle if the pressure washer is on, which causes the pump to occasionally run for about 2 seconds at a time. The wand coupler is the universal 1/4” type. One of the cord wrap posts folds to the side for easy cord removal. I would consider this pressure washer a very good value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It Does The Job But........ The pressure washer works well. The turbo nozzle cleaned the concrete of my driveway well. The ergonomics of the machine are poor. The handle at the end of the reel is at the wrong end so it collides with the wand when you are winding up the hose. The storage are for the electrical cable is too low to be reached comfortably.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance and convenient Performance is sufficient for any home owner. Easy to assemble and use. Quiet, clean, and low maintenance, a big upside to even to a mechanic like me. For the price, this 1950 PSI, 1.2 GPM pressure washer is a steal. As for durability, who knows, only had it for a month, but as it has relatively much less moving parts, it should last. The only down side is that the hose reel require full disconnect of the hose, but that’s not worth a star.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Pressure Washer w/ A Useless Hose Reel I purchased this pressure washer 1-2 weeks ago and I used it once. The pressure washer works great, however, the design of the hose reel renders it useless. Older Greenworks pressure washer models, such as the one my father has, has a connector where you screw the hose into the actual reel. This makes the reel usable, as the hose is connected to the reel at all times, and you can unwind it in order to use the sprayer. This design has no area to screw in the hose, so you have to disconnect both ends before reeling. When you reel the hose, the connector piece will beat on your engine block pretty hard. I've since just wrapped the hose around the actual handle instead of using the reel. Other than this fault, the pressure washer works great! I purchased a foam cannon and use it with the pressure washer, then use the car wash quick connect tip to wash off the soap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good I use this to wash cars. I like the detachable lance with more standard connectors. I've added a flock of quick connects so I can attach my supply hose and foam cannon. Haven't tried it yet for sidewalks or washing down brick or siding, but will at some point. Not sure if it really puts out 1950psi based on independent tests. The hose spool is a nice idea but clunky to use. The hose end bangs into the top of the pump housing. I would redesign the cord so the transformer would attach to the frame and get it off the wet ground. I'd have a short line to the pump, and a long more durable cord. I've heard the green pressure hose is more kink resistant, but its on the short side. I got an M22 swivel connector to help resist some kinking. The extras I bought and the ones I wish I had would add a lot to the overall cost, and I still like a good low price, but it'll do ok.
