Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lawnmower upgrade This is my 3rd cordless electric lawnmower. It's so easy to use. The lithium-ion batteries weigh less that the lead acid battery in my old lawnmower making it easier to push. It's simple to switch between mulching and bagging grass clippings. Mulched clippings are small and disappear into the lawn.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Affordable and good mower Bought this 20 in 40 V mower and used three times. Have extra battery because I bought snow blower last Nov. Blower I’d give a 6 out of ten grade. Mower I would give 8-9 out of 10. Very pleased for the price and job it does. Hope my satisfaction continues.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just ok Spent $500 for a push mower and at first I thought it was great. We have about 1/2 acre so we bought an extra battery so we could do it all between the 2. I used it about 5 times and now I have had to switch batteries 3 times and only did half our yard. I waited until both batteries were completely charged and they only lasted about 10 minutes and they were completely dead again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor performance of the battery life!cut was great The battery life needs to be extended! Did not run just over 20 minutes And could not even finish the front lawn! Have not even the power for the back lawn!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst customer service ever The mower is fine. Even great. What sucks is Greenworks customer service. Mower arrived missing a bolt to attach the top handle. Email to the company went unanswered, as did my phone calls to customer service. After days of trying to get in touch with them, I finally called and stayed on hold for 4 hours only to be hung up when I made it to #2 in the queue. I bought a bolt from Home Depot, but it's the lack of quality control and horrible customer service that gives this company a 1. Oh, and be prepared to buy more batteries. I have just a .27 acre lot, but with some hills. Two full 4amp batteries cuts about 75% of my lawn... and this only comes with a 4amp and 2amp.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor performance My wife bought one like this 3 or 4 years ago and from day one the batteries have never lasted more than an hour then it takes 3 hours to recharge both batteries which means by the time the grass is dry enough to cut we can’t finish plus the blades have never cut the grass well at all unless we go over it repeatedly.

I'll ask this again. I have 21in greenworks lawnmower. It uses 2 40v, 4ah batteries. Can I use 2 40v, 6ah batteries with it? Model #LMF415. It's still 40v, just more amps.

Asked by: yogip
Hello yogip, Yes, you can use two of our 40V 6.0Ah Elite batteries with this unit.

I just purchased this mower & it took 6 batteries to mow my lawn. Is there is a battery I can purchase that will last longer? Also can you run mower with only 1 battery inserted?

Asked by: tttttddddd
Hello there, Additional batteries can be purchased to extend the run time. This unit is compatible with all G24V Greenworks batteries. The higher the ampere-hour (AH) rating is, the longer the run time will be.

Hello YogiP, Model numbers of your tool/battery would help us to better advise. If all units are from the GreenWorks G-Max/Elite 40v line then they will all be interchangeable.

Self propelled mower - is there any speed variant- l would like the self propelled to go slower!

Asked by: Dave Timm
Hello Dave, This model does not have a "Self-Propelled" feature. On most of our Self-Propelled mower there is a toggle that allow the user to adjust the speed this information can be found in the owner’s manual. The user can also operate the unit without the self-propelled feature. Do not pull the lever associated with the propelling feature and the unit will not propel forward. I hope this was helpful. If you still need have questions, please feel welcome to ask this question again with the model number of your unit so we can accurately answer you.
