Rated 5 out of 5 by J isabella from Love this mower! I am 62yrs old. My children bought the greenworks 40v mower for me as I was in an accident that made it difficult for me to pull the cord on my gas mower. I found it very easy to use, and had no problem putting in, or taking out the batteries. The extra holder for the spare battery sure saves time. I did not get the self propelled one, and found it wasn't necessary as this one is easy to push. The height adjustment is also easy to use, and the mower cuts the lawn beautifully. It is a lot quieter than my gas mower- I can even hear my phone ring when operating the mower. A simple push button to start and you're on your way to a perfect lawn.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TommyC from Greenworks 40V Mower I have had my 21" 40V mower for two summers now. I love it! I have two batteries that I rotate thru and cut my 1/4 acre yard in no time with no problems. ALSO - mulch leaves in the fall - works like a vacuum cleaner on my tons of oak leaves! ONLY ISSUE IS I wish that it has a meter visible on the battery life while you're cutting the grass. On this model, the compartment is covered in that green plastic so you can't see how much power you have left. I'm sure that the next redesign will have a meter visible to show while you're cutting grass - like a gas gauge on some gas mowers, etc.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LaVerne from Cuts good but horrible battery life Company claims 60min run time and able to cut 1/2 acre. My lawn is less than a quarter acre. I had both batteries on charge overnight, all indicator lights showed both batteries were fully charged. When I went to cut my lawn for the first time with this mower got maybe 10-15min out of each battery. Grass was about 2-3” high and dry. Maybe I was unlucky and just happened to get the 2 bad batteries in the bunch? Otherwise, this product does not live up to the performance that manufacturer claims.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Daniel A from Great cut, the stock battery life is poor. Cuts the grass well. My yard is about 2/3 of an acre and I was expecting to have to swap batteries a few times. I already had a 40v Greenworks weedeater, so I have 3 2.5 ah batteries in total to use. I can mow the front lawn on one battery in about 20-30 minutes. The rear and sides of the house, took me a couple hours, as I used all 3 batteries, and had to let them recharge. That was mowing at the max height. Grass wasn't even that thick, other than a few areas where my old leech bed was. That was also using it in mulching mode. Not sure if I switch to side discharge, if that will take any strain off the motor and prolong the battery life any. Overall I am happy with the mower and the cut, but I am looking into larger capacity batteries for it. Would be a better value if it had some 3.0 or 4.0 ah batteries instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lillian from Easy to use but battery removal is HARD Ihave been using this mower for 2 years now at my coastal home. It is holding up better than most of the previous mowers to the salt air. It runs well but gets clogged up sometimes due to the increased moisture on the coast. I do not have the battery run time problem most talk about, my batteries do last but they are SO HARD TO REMOVE from the mower. I have had carpal tunnel surgery and there is not much to grab onto to pull them out of the mower. Please have your engineers redesign the batteries or put a pull strap on them for us folks that do not have the strength to grasp and wiggle those batteries out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jon_Dough from Absolutely outstanding value Purchased this mower a month ago. With all of the rain recently, I have had enough uses to clearly appreciate this product! It is perfectly sized for my yard. Two batteries do the job with a little energy leftover. The convenience cannot be overstated. Roll it out, press a button, squeeze the handle, and off we go. I have only used the mulching feature and see no reason to do otherwise. There is no evidence of clippings and the lawn looks like a carpet. I was unsure about making a purchase of this technology, but caught it at a discount and took a chance. Completely satisfied and would have been at full price. The batteries make a product like this, and these are amazing products in their own right.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Rednovastar from Good price, batteries worthless So I just bought this lawnmower due to the price and the small yard I have, however reading the info it shows that I should be able to mow my whole yard without having to change the battery. I put the battery on the charger and it says it's full but the battery shows 1 bar, also when 4 bars was at 1 bar in less than ten minutes.i am not happy with this if it will take me 8 hours to charge, mow, rinse and repeat 20 times.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JoseB from Quit, light, cuts good BUT TERRIBLE BATTERY LIFE I was very happy until first battery died just after 14 minutes of usage, between the 2 batteries it was 30 minutes. I will need a 3rd battery to be able to complete my yard. Very very disappointed with battery performance, I mowed about 350 sq yards and grass was not even large, I just did it because I couldn't wait.

What is the best way to care for my 60v battery. Charge often or let run down?
Hello Adam K, The battery can be stored at any state. The most important storage condition is the temperature which should be at a consistent temperature (room temperature). Please refer to your owner's manual for more information on storage.

You offer many options as to the number of Batteries, and their Power Rating. My yard is approximately 4500 SqFt. Which of your Mowers would you recommend for my yard which has ins/outs/diversions.
Hello Sgt Pepper, We would recommend batteries that are at least 4.0Ah (amp hour) or higher. This model comes with two 2.5Ah batteries and will require a quick change in between use. It may only offer 20 minutes per use per battery. Unlike, a 4.0Ah or 5.0Ah battery that will offer a continuous runtime. However, the choice is yours. Additional batteries may be needed for optimal runtime.
