Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic lawnmower This affordable lawnmower with it’s easy to operate features is a great choice for any person of any age. The self-propelled has a turtle to rabbit speed lever making it easy to control the speed of movement. The battery last long enough to complete both my front and back lawn. There is barely no physical effort when operating this machine. It is easy to clean and store. Customer service is helpful in addressing any issues.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from the Jury is out I bought this because I didn't want my son using a gas mower. I purchased 2 batteries after reading reviews of battery life. My house sits on 1/8 of an acre, (58*120).... now account for a 1400 sq foot house, 22*22 plus 9*9 patio and approximately 400 sq foot driveway the 2 batteries barely finishes the lawn now after less than a half a season the grass catching bag is ripping on the bottom. I will hold out my final review until I hear from customer service. I do love that it is quiet and my son loves using it. I do agree the batteries are challenging to remove for both my son and I.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too heavy for me I bought this mower for the self-propelled feature after our first green works mower died after 6 years. I like the self-propelled feature a lot, but I have trouble maneuvering this mower because you can't pull it backwards when turning and it's a LOT heavier than the smaller 16 inch model we had previously. If it wasn't so much trouble to send this back to green works, I would replace it with the smaller mower that didn't have self-propel, but was lighter and easier to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 21-Inch Brushless Self-Propelled Lawnmower i want to mention before i write my review, i read a previous review about someone not being able to pull back on it after dis-engaging the self-propeller mechanism. What you have to do is since it's a rear wheel self-propelled lawnmower, you have to continue going forward a smidge, before going in reverse. It's easy as that. i love this lawnmower. The reason i wanted to use a self-propelled lawnmower is because i push mow my entire yard. With that being said, here's my review ... PROS: 1. The speed adjustment for the self propeller is pure genius! That right there is a winner for me, i have never seen that on a push lawnmower before. 2. It has a much cleaner cut, cuts more evenly compared to my previous Greenworks lawnmower (Which i still love also). 3. Lightweight, easy to maneuver. 4. Self-propelled, makes life easier. It takes ME for a walk. 5. Bigger wheels in the back, easier to use. 6. Powerful for only using 1 battery. 7. Battery power, no gas. (It's a no-brainer) CONS: 1. It is difficult to pull the batteries out of the compartment, needs more space to grab it. 2. Does not mulch very well. (I live in Ohio, where the grass is more thick) 3. The cutting settings #1, #2, and #3 are useless to me, the lowest cut i could ever use is #4. If i went any lower, it would scalp the lawn. 4. This lawnmower should come with a battery and a charger. I would always recommend Greenworks products to everyone i know, they are very reliable. I have NEVER had any issues with any of my products. And i have most of them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too hard to use when pulling We purchased this mower because my wife wanted a battery powered, self-propelled mower. We have a large yard and wanted to use this to mow around small trees, gardens, etc. We have several other GreenWorks 40v tools so we purchased this model. This mower is almost impossible for my wife to pull backwards when trying to trim around things. She has gone back to using our old, push, gas powered mower because it is so much easier to use. I wish I would have bought something different. :(

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cuts well, Easy to handle, poor battery This mower is my first battery powered mower and it does a nice job cutting my lawn. It is easy to handle and mow with. However, I don't get more than about 20-25 minutes from each battery after a full charge. I have about a 1/3 of acre. You will to have patience in order to endure multiple stops and starts as you charge the battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Product! I just purchased this to reduce the amount of trimming I need to do, and I'm glad I did. Easy to operate and appreciate the dual battery compartments. This is my fifth Greenworks product and I would give them all 5 stars!

My M060L00 greenworks pro is too small for my 1/2 acre yard. Which one would you recommend as the Lowe's salesperson misguided me? We are constantly having to charge the battery.

Asked by: Johnson3
Hello Johnson3, M060L00 is a unit that can be used on larger lawns. However, it will require additional batteries due to the runtime and the load. We would recommend purchasing additional batteries for additional runtime that you may require. The higher the amp hour (Ah) the more runtime a battery will provide. https://www.greenworkstools.com/shop-by-tool/battery-chargers/60v-battery-375 https://www.greenworkstools.com/shop-by-tool/battery-chargers/2-5ah-high-compacity-battery https://www.greenworkstools.com/shop-by-tool/battery-chargers/60v-battery-374 *Out of stock until July*

I'm confused by this battery claim in the product description, "patented automatic switch-over" Every listing I find on this model says or shows that the second battery port is storage without power. Which is correct?

Asked by: TheHelms
Hello TheHelms, We're sorry for the confusion. The second battery port is a storage port. It has been adjusted accordingly: Added battery storage compartment allows you to carry an extra battery to extend runtime Here are the models with the automatic switchover feature: 2527302AZ - Greenworks 40V 21" Brushless Lawn Mower, 4Ah and 2Ah USB Batteries and Charger Included MO40L4210 2525102AZ - Greenworks 40V 21" Brushless (Smart Pace) Self-Propelled Lawn Mower, Battery Not Included MO40L03 2525202AZ - Greenworks 40V 21" Brushless (Smart Pace) Self-Propelled Lawn Mower, 2 x 4Ah USB Batteries and Charger Included MO40L4413

What is the model number of the mulching piece that goes with this? I never received one with the mower.

Asked by: Liz3
Hello Liz3, Sorry to hear the mulch plug was missing. Sometimes, the mulch plug is stored in the unit. If you lift the rear flap and see a black handle that would be the mulch plug. The mulch plug is inserted on an angle, so it will require a slight twist when removing. If you have checked this area and the plug is not there, please contact our customer service center at 1-888-909-6757 and a representative can send out the missing parts to you under warranty. Unfortunately, regardless of how careful we are, these things can sometimes happen. Please just make sure that when you're calling, you have your serial number and date of purchase with you.

Good Day, What size wrench or socket do I need to take off the lawn mover blade? Is the EGO brand of lawn mover blades acceptable for use with the 21" Greenworks lawn mower? Thank you

Asked by: drscanman
Hello drscanman Thank you for your question. We recommend using a 13mm or a 17mm socket to remove the blade. The EGO brand lawn mower is not compatible with the Greenworks lawnmower. Please contact us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or by email on info@greenworkstools.com for replacement parts. The blade number for mower model MO40L02 is 333041179.

What's the grass catcher capacity for MO40L00 (bushels/liters/gallons)? About how many times will it get full in an hour of average (3-6 inch growth) mowing?

Asked by: Meech
Hello there, Thank you for your inquiry. Our mower bags carry approximately 1.25 bushels. Unfortunately, we do not have accurate specifications on how quickly the bag may fill as there are multiple variables per user that can influence this.
