Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quiet Mower, Nice Cut, Bad Battery Run Time I was looking for the 82v commercial 25" mower, but it is only available at authorized retailers. There are none within 100 miles of me. So, I thought I would try this one. I used the mower twice so far with a fully charged 4ah and 2ah battery. I had run times of 54 minutes and 48 minutes, using the self-propelled feature roughly half of that time. The mower cuts well, but the advertised up to 100 minute run time (90 minutes listed further down on the website) is no where near accurate for actual cutting. Customer service did agree to send an additional 2ah battery, but that only gets me to roughly 68 minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No gas or oil to mess with I always wanted an electric lawnmower. this unit does a great job. I gave it four stars only because I wish it would mulch the leaves. I do not like to bag the leaves and send them to the dump. The handle bar folds down nicely and you can then store it on it's end, very nice feature. Also the handlebar is adjustable for different people height preferences. It comes with 2 batteries but only one battery charger but that's ok too. I really like the variable walk behind speeds. It is so easy to use and now my wife mows too, a big help for sure. Overall it is a well built lawnmower. Great for small suburban homes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Impressed with Power and Battery Life It was time to purchase a new lawn mower that was easy enought for my wife to use. I did not want to deal with storing gas for the mower and it had to be easy to start and operate. Greenworks 60V 25in Dual Blade Self Propelled Mower simply works. After unboxing the only assembling it needed 2 bolts put into the handle and to insert the mulching plug fully (was in place but not fully clipped into place) and that was all. My wife was able to mow our entire 1/4 acre lot utilizing only one of the two batteries and still had 40-50 percent battery life left once completed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life changer This is an amazing product! I got it on sale for under 600 and figured why not try it out. I read bad reviews about the battery life so I wasn’t sure at first. After getting it in less than 2 weeks during covid mail I was pleasantly surprised. Getting it together was fast and easy. It looked great, and the batteries took all of an hour to charge. I have a quarter of an acre all together. I can get the entire thing done without using all of the small battery. As of now it looks like I have about 2+ hours of battery life depending on if I use the self propelled mode or not. Plus it sounds like you are vacuuming your lawn. It will change your life. Get it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 60 V Mower Overall very pleased with mower. It does a wonderful job of cutting, even thicker brushy areas. It is easy to control. Love how it folds for storage. It is very quiet. Very easy to put on its side to clean. The things that I like less are battery life. Seems about 30 - 40 minute cutting time if run out both batteries and then 3-4 hrs of charging. Either good for a break or may need to get extra batteries. It was shipped by UPS and arrived in very rough shape with significantly damaged box that had been opened and retapped and lawnmower scuffed but not damaged. I am pleased with the mower and purchase at this point (new purchase) and would recommend or purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This mower is performing better than expected This mower is performing better than expected. I have other 60V tools. I expected to have change the batteries out before i completed my front and back yards. I am completing all my mowing with just the two batteries with room left. This is a self powered mower with adjustable speed. The top speed is almost too fast for me but that's not a complaint, i can slow it down if i need to. The 25" wide path is really nice too. I really like the stand up storage feature, the bag is easy to use if you aren't mulching. I have zero complaints for far. I'm really happy with this purchase. The price is higher that i would normally pay but, so far, i believe it's worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greenworks Pro - 60-volt SP 25" Dual Blade Mower The Greenworks Pro - 60-volt SP 25" Dual Blade Mower with (1) 4 Ah and (1) 2 Ah Battery, Charger is a great quality mower. It is easy to start and runs a lot quieter than a gas mower. I like that it has dual-port auto switchover technology, when one battery depletes, the mower’s power supply is automatically switched to the second battery. With the self-propelled drive system it has good traction, maneuverability, and is easy to control . The 2-in-1 system for bagging and mulching makes clean up easy. It easily folds at the handle and I can store the mower in our shed. I would diffidently recommenced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MAKES MOWING A LITTLE MORE INJOYABLE. Have had the PRO 60v 25 INCH DECK FOR THREE WEEKS NOW, USED IT TWICE, VERY WELL PLEASED WITH IT, THE LIGHT WEIGHT MAKES IT EASY TO USE. I BAG WHEN MOWING AND CLIPPINGS ARE VERY FINE, AND THE CUT QUALITY IS JUST AS GOOD AS MY GAS POWER MOWER I USED OR BETTER.THIS IS THE FRIST BATTERY POWER MOWER THAT I HAVE USED,LIKE THE FACT YOU PUT IN THE BATTERY OR BATTERYS AND GO. HAVE HAD NO ISSUES WITH MOWER OR BATTERYS, THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT IS VERY VERY WELL MADE. AND THE CONTROLS ARE EASY TO USE,AND THE SELF PROPELL WORKS NICE AS WELL TOO.LIKE AND WOULD RECCOMMEND IT. THANKS GREEN WORKS FOR A QUALITY MOWER.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Mower, Great Value, Highly Recommend I previously owned a Honda self-propelled mower for many years and switched to a Snapper 80V mower, but I was not happy with the Snapper cut, and some of the features of the mower. The Greenworks 25" Pro 60V has been wonderful. It's very easy to use, and it folds up and stores away in with a very small footprint in my garage. Both batteries that came with the mower can cut my 1/2 an acre lawn with no problem. I've cut really tall 6" grass with no problem. I prefer not to bag my cuttings, and was happy to see this mower does a fine job of mulching the cuttings into very small pieces. My neighbors can believe how quiet the mower is, and after letting him borrow mine to cut his grass, his purchased one for himself. I highly recommend this mower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from wow just wow Greenworks never disappoints! The 60 volt Dual Blade Mower is a quiet and powerful machine. It comes with 2 batteries. Very fast and it has adjustable speeds. I had little trouble in removing the mulch plug as the instructions were not clear. I am 5ft 6in and its perfect for me. If you are looking for a self propelled wide area mower this is the one!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Battery life is below par and below expectations I enjoy everything about the mower other than the battery runtime. While it's advertised to run for up to 100 minutes, I have yet to get past 45-50 minutes of runtime. I have tried to use the self propelled feature less and it still makes no difference. Definitely misleading in their advertising for this machine. I also sent an email to Greenworks over a week ago and have received zero response. I wanted to give them an opportunity to address the issue before I wrote my review but with no response I guess I need to try it this way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Going #Green was worth it. So what can i say about my Electric GreenWorks lawnmower, it packs a punch. At first i was skeptic because of the size of the batteries that came with it. The 6.0 and 2.0 batteries did a great job. Beginning with a full charge I was able to cut both my front lawn and back yard leaving the charge with 2 lines left.charge time for both batteries is roughly 140 min all together. I truly can't Express how glad I am that I chose this lawnmower. Thank you Greenworks for creating a magnificent piece of equipment. Oh and its very quiet too!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving this new mower! This mower is amazing! I have paying someone to cut my lawn for years because I just didn't want to deal with buying gas to fill it up or wanting to smell it. I love that I can just charge the batteries and push a button to get it started! I like that it comes with a bag to collect the grass so that it doesn't pile up all over the yard for my dog to roll in. The 25" cutting deck really makes a difference in reducing the number of passes to cut the grass which saves a lot of time. The battery life is excellent. I've cut the front and back twice now without running out of juice. Strongly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuts grass on first try. The mower works great. It cuts grass on the first try. The mower was easy to put together. The handles were easy to put in place. The batteries charge in about an hour and a half and last about 5 hours fully charge mowing and about 2 days without doing any activity. The mower has an easy lever to adjust the height of the mower from the ground. It is easy to maneuver and to get into hard to fit places. It is easy to start by holding down the handles and pushing the start button and speed is adjustable to your comfort. Overall it is a great mower and it is lightweight. I definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mowed my 1/2 acre on 1 charge I am very pleased with my mower. I have a 1/2 acre tall fescue yard with a long steep drainage ditch down one side. I mow it in the tallest setting and only use the self propelled feature going up hill. It tackled my whole yard on one charge, it takes me right at 1 hour to mow using mulching plate. I have mowed my yard for 20 years now with a 22" gas mower without self propel. It is really nice to not have to buy gas or do maintenance other than clean the mower and charge batteries. The other thing I really like is how little space it takes up when stored. I have two kids with bicycles, dirt bike, four wheeler, wife's car, and my tools it garage it fits right up against the wall with no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome power This is the best lawnmower hands down. We were very satisfied with the greenworks pro dual blade lawnmower. It made cutting our lawn a breeze the perfect cut every time. The self propelled feature was the best it shaved about 30 minutes off of our yard work. The batteries stay charged for a long time. All I can say is EXCELLENT craftsmanship and DURABILITY and PERFORMANCE we are very satisfied customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best residential lawn mower on the market! Great mower bundle! Value priced to include 2 batteries charger mulcher and bagger. 25" deck reduces overall time to mow and dual battery port means you can go for up to 60 min uninterrupted. More power than a gas lawn mower with up to 4500 rpm blade speed and dual blade cutting mulches leaves and grass whether using mulch plug or bagger. Easy to assemble lightweight to use and self-propelled works great with hills and slopes. One touch lever to adjust cutting height is nice and this mower is feature loaded!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product This lawnmower is so easy to assemble. Pull handle up from the base, slide into arm supports and screw into place. Done and ready to go! I like that it has a speed control using the icons of a rabbit for faster and a turtle for slower. The batteries took a few hours to charge as expected and are easy to insert as they will only go in one way! I would recommend that the red key be attached by a cable of some sort so as not to ever lose the key. Also the other thing that could become an issue - the handles inside contain the cables for the self propel. But there is also a screw that goes into the handle to connect it to the frame. The problem I see that could happen is if the screw clips the cable it could damage the self propel feature. Just a safety issue I thought of . But I like that the mower does come with a mulcher if I wanted to use that. It is easy to operate altho it took me a bit to get comfortable with the handles. There are three handles if you will. The regular handle you grip to control the mower. The green handles to start and keep it running and they grey handles to engage the self propel. It’s not difficult once you remember what handles do what. It pivots relatively easy, just release the self propel handle - grey one. The two batteries lasted long enough to cut both the front yard and the back yard and my yard looks great! Overall a great lawnmower ! Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressive lawnmower! I really like so many of the features of this lawnmower. It runs on rechargeable batteries and not gas, so that definitely saves me time and money and is better for the environment. Also, I love the fact that it is wider and I can mow my lawn faster which makes my job of mowing a breeze to do. It is so much more quiet than my gas mower which i really love. The dual blades are nice and sharp and gives my lawn a clean, fresh cut every time. It is also extremely sturdy and pwwerful and I assume that it will last me a long time and hold up to seasonal wear and tear. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Greenworks Pro dual blade mower and have already recommended it to many of my family members and friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The future is here If you have a small yard buy this. The reason why, is this. Do you know that feeling you had years ago when lithium ion battery drills came out? And you didnt have to charge every thirty minutes. That is the same feeling i got with the greenworks battery powered mower. I thought of all the time in life, cleaning spark plugs, storing gas, changing oil and realized "Wow, i dont have to do that any more". If you live in a climate where you put away the mower for sometimes a month at a time. Buy this. If your yard is big, perhaps more than a half acre, that is the only thing that would keep me from getting this. Side note, it is weird to mow a law and be able to hear my kids play. So that was also a plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Lawn Mower I didn't exactly know what to expect. It's my first electric mower at my first house. Grass had gotten pretty long in the past couple weeks but it tore through that without too much trouble. I don't know if gas mowers can do this too but my leaf covered lawn was no problem either. I didn't even have to rake! Wish I had this as a kid. My neighbor even said he was thinking about getting one himself. The battery life is I guess as good as you can expect from electric. Last me about an hour. I believe my lot is about 8000sqft and I can get it done before my batteries die.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am so happy with this mower Have only used this three times but it exceeded my expectations. I love the 'transmission' kicking into a higher rpm when needed. Very easy to maneuver mower. I love when the mower cuts a heavy patch of grass that it increases the power to make it easier to cut. The wheels make mowing the lawn easy too. I like how this mower is not extremely heavy and easy to put in storage. The bagger works well, starting it is easy and I'm amazed at how fast the batteries recharge. The battery is easy to hook up too. I didn't realize that only one can be charge at a time but it charges so fast it didn't bother me. I used this in three different yards as stated above three different times and each time has been great experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Im surprised its battery powered I was skeptical at first to use a battery powered lawn mower I guess because I relate it to a electric mower. I was wrong, battery powered is amazing. No gas, no oil, no long extension cord. It’s light weight but yet still has power to mow my 3/4 acre lot. This mower has dual blade which I have never used before but it doesn’t seem much different than the single blade for the results after I mow. It is self propelled and it works very well. One great thing is how quiet it is. First time I turned it on in my garage, my family could not hear the mower inside the house! When done mowing, it folds up very easily for easy storage without taking up much space. I would definitely recommend this battery powered mower!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT I got this got it out of the box and charged the battery's and waited and then went to mowing and wow i was blowned away at the fact it doesnt bog down it is amazing no more fuel or oil and wow it does better than my old lawn mower i mowed and mowed and the batterys had enough charge to do another 1/2 acre. This is amazing self propelled it goes all by itself which helps me out cuts so perfect i dont have to go over two times im using the bag so i can use it for mulch easy to put in and take out . Its so light weight i can pick it up with ease and fold it to store it doesnt take up hardly any space and no more oil leaks or gas fumes. It cuts perfect such a wide cut now i wont be in the hot sun for hours and be in pain.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible Run Time They advertise for up to 100 minutes of runtime which I understand is under ideal conditions however using the self propel mechanism you will only get 40 minutes of runtime. I was told by two different representatives that this was "great" runtime. Advertising as up to 100 minutes is just unacceptable. Who would buy a self propel lawnmower and not use that feature? This was the recommendation provided to me to increase the battery life.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bad Girst Impression Mower arrived, without notification, in a crushed box with some tears and holes in it. The box was retaped. I don't lnow of it left Greenworks in that condition or was damaged on the shipping process. I checked the mower for damage. Other than multiple scratches, scuffs, and dirty battery covers, the mower seems dent-free. I put on the handles, charged the batteries to fuil charge and mowed my lawn. The mower seems to work OK, but the 4ah battery was drained after 15-minutes and the mower then switched to the 2ah battery. I am wondering if the 4ah battery is defective. Fifteen minutes of mow time is unacceptable for a fully charged 4ah battery. I am disappointed in the condition of the box and mower upon delivery. I am concerned about the under-performing 4ah battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great choice for my large lawn I have a lot of grass to mow. I have a large lawn surrounding gardens and 2 acres of Christmas Trees. For many years I’ve used a large 33” commercial mower for the lawns (and a high wheel mower in the trees) and struggled with the 33” matching, especially on sloped ground. I did a lot of research before deciding on the Greenworks 25” and having just put it to work for 45 minutes today, I can’t be happier. The Greenworks produces a cleaner more even cut, is easier to maneuver and quieter. It is true, as some other reviewers have noted, that when you disengage the drive wheels, it takes a moment for the wheels to actually roll free (and enable easy reverse pulling) but this isn’t a major issue and with some use becomes easy to adjust to. The multiple height adjustment is a great feature, especially when the grass is a bit higher than normal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cut, great battery life I just used my mower for the first time yesterday. I cut on a little over of a third of an acre with a lower level walkout, so I have some decent slopes I have to manage, and it managed the hills wonderfully. The mower did a great job cutting, it was great having the wider deck which cut down my cut time from a 21 inch deck it replaced. It took me about an hour and fifteen minutes and the batteries were pretty close to being done, but I probably used more power because of the hills. The self propulsion moves at a very good pace and does a good cut. The ease of raising and lower the deck height is pretty awesome, it makes changing the height near curbs and sidewalks easy and prevents scalping the lawn. The only downside I see to this mower was that I have a lot of cut ins, which require me to go from self propulsion to manual, and several times as I transitioned, I mistakenly eased up on the mower handle at the same time as the propulsion handle, since they are squeezed by the same hand, and if you ease up on the mower at all, the engine cuts off. It's easy to restart, and I think its a beginner user error more than anything else, but that would be my one initial concern, and don't see it as enough of an issue to change my review. I do have a trimmer and backpack blower as well, and an edger attachment is on its way to me. I bought the trimmer with battery, but opted not to buy any batteries for the backpack blower. I haven't used the trimmer yet, assuming I can edge and trim on the 2.0 battery and then cut, I can charge that battery while mowing and have enough charge to run the backpack blower after, given that I used up a little more mower battery than I thought I would, I may have to think about getting one more battery to make sure I can do a complete yard maintenance from start to finish without waiting on batteries.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid mower I’ve got three cuttings under my belt. The mower does everything I expected and the auto switch over on the battery is a great feature. I am slightly disappointed than I’m not getting 90mins out of the 2 batteries as advertised. My first use is early spring, after fertilization, so I hope as the summer goes along it’ll get better. I am currently looking into either a 5 ah or another 4ah, which should get the job done

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 25" self propelled and pollution free! Easy to assemble. The batteries were powerful enough to run 60 minutes and do my .3 acres of lawn. The unit is light weight, easy to store and get 'leaf blower cleaned by easy tipping on its side. It cuts comparable to my Toro. NO carburetor, no gas filter to clog, no air filter, no carbon monoxide belching front of me and besides the blades, no maintenance to perform!!! The mulcher is good but if you are bagging the bag is too small for my size yard. Now we will see how well it holds up especially the batteries which have a four year warranty.

Can I turn the mower on its end and clean it with a garden hose on the underneath side where the blades are?

Asked by: mpic
Hello mpic, No, our units should not be exposed to water. Exposure to water will increase the risk of electrical shock and potentially damage the internal components of the mower. We recommend cleaning the underside of the deck with a cloth after each use.

Does the dial blade mower have one motor or two? If one, does the power split keep the blades indexed to avoid impact or require maintenance?

Asked by: Aydx0001
Hello Aydx0001, There is a single drive motor for both blades. The motor is connected to a gear box that spins both blades at the same time. The blades overlap but are fixed perpendicular (X) to each other by the transmission so the can never contact each other (there is rough 0.5” of blade path overlap).

What is the rationale for a 2 & 4 AH battery instead of 2 x 4AH batteries? Engineering or marketing? Wouldn't 2 x 4AH batteries give a longer run time for my enormous lawn?

Asked by: IFTIA
Hello IFTIA, The main reason is marketing as this is the price point that is most attractive to a majority of our customers. However, you are correct that two 4.0Ah batteries will provide a longer runtime and can be used in this unit. You are not limited to a 2.0Ah and a 4.0Ah battery for this unit.

Does the 25 inch dual battery mower need a side discharge? It came with a bag but no discharge for mulching. Thank you.

Asked by: Tracy25
Hello Tracy25, The unit is a 3 in 1 which means it should come with: side discharge chute, mulch plug and rear bag. The mulch plug comes already installed in the rear slot. You do not need the side discharge to mulch. If you are mulching you would remove the side discharge and bag and insert the mulch plug. If you're using side discharge remove bag/mulch. We hope this information has helped.

Hello nicosanta, No, the two voltage platforms are not interchangeable. Each voltage line (60v and 80v) has its own set of interchangeable tools and batteries but are not interchangeable across different voltage lines.
