Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a dream! Our old mower died a month ago and we’ve been desperate for the new one to come. It arrived today and quickly took care of our much too high grass. It charged quickly and mulches really well. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Powerful Upgrade We used the corded 16 inch Greenworks mower for 2 years on our 1/2 acre. This is a much more powerful machine (and heavier) cuts my my time in half. Like the package of the additional battery. So far, seems tough as nails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good so far but heavy Good lawn mower. It is heavy. Battery performance is beyond expections. After the while lawn was done we sill have 2 points outta 4 left on the battery. Regret getting with 2 batteries, could have saved money and got just one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, Easy Push, No Smell, Less Noise! Purchased for our 1 acre land in Oregon, this lawn mower is a dream! Pushes easily, collects clippings well, there is no smelly gas and less noise than gas mowers. Not only great for environment, it cuts evenly and well. The only time I needed to stop mowing was because I needed to empty the grass catcher. Only (1) 40-V battery cut over 1/3 acre. Highly recommend GreenWorks Power Tools and Lawn Tools. (There leaf blower rocks, too!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Height Adjustment This mower has a good range of height adjustments and has met/exceeded my expectations.

is this an upgrade from the one with white wheels? Which is more powerful, this one or the 48v 20 in. ?

Asked by: borderline
Hello borderline, Thank you for your question! In order for us to compare units, we do ask that you please provide the model numbers. Unfortunately, we are unsure of the unit that you are referring to in the first part of your question. However, to address the latter inquiry, the greater the voltage, the more power a unit can produce. Our 48V unit would be slightly more powerful.

If you have a mower with a 40V 4.0 Ah & 2.0 Ah Battery, if you replace the 2.0Ah Battery with another 4.0Ah Battery, will it harm the mower? Just curious since the mower came with those two different batteries.

Asked by: ejackpot
Hello ejackpot, No, it will not harm the lawn mower. The higher the ampere-hour (AH) rating is, the longer the run time will be.

In the owners manual, page 26, under Storing The Mower, it says "Lubricate the mower (refer to the Maintenance Section)." But there is no reference to lubrication in the maintenance section. What do I lubricate and how do I lubricate it?

Asked by: Edbun
Hello Edbun, For our lawnmowers, we only advise lubricating the blades, under the deck, the motor shaft that the blade is on, and the blade nut. Other than these areas, typically no lubrication is required. You can use silicone spray to complete this task.

Used my machine 4 times battery will not hold a charge for more Quarter acre

Asked by: Denny P
Hello Denny P, Here are a few troubleshooting suggestions to check out. 1) When the battery is inserted, the light should begin flashing green to indicate the battery is charging. If this light is not igniting or is flashing red, this may indicate an issue and we would be interested in hearing more about this. If the light simply goes solid red, try removing the battery and unplugging the charger for about 10 minutes and place them both indoors in a room temperature setting, as this might indicate the battery is at the incorrect temperature to be charged. 2) Ensure that the battery has been fully inserted into the charger. Sometimes this requires a firm push into place to make sure that it has been properly seated. 3) Try resetting the charger. To do this, simply unplug it for approximately 10 minutes and then plug it back in and try reinserting the battery. If the charger has been plugged in for extended periods of time, this can sometimes cause the charger to malfunction. Should you still require further assistance, we would be interested in hearing more about this issue. Please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit, battery and charger so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

Asked by: kfg3
Hello kfg3, The charger is designed to be used on 110V outlets which are standard in North America. As long as your house electrical supports this current, you should not have any issues.
