Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Tired off pulling out my arm socket trying to start my old gas mower, I did a lot of research before buying this mower. It is everything I'd hoped it'd be. Light weight. Easy to use a sinch to start, very powerful. I just can't say enough about how this mower has changed my view on lawn mowing...I actually look forward to it now! Purchase 2 years ago

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mower! So I bought this mower in the spring at Lowe’s and used it all summer to cut my uneven acre in New Jersey. Blows my old gas mower out of the water! The gas mower had to be cleaned, maintained, gassed, and still hardly worked. This mower has a nicer, closer cut, is extremely quiet, and I’m able to keep it charged through the five batteries I have from the chainsaw, pole saw, and weed trimmer I have too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go mow mamma I bought this cordless mower because I needed something that would cut easily over semi-rough terrain. I had sod put down and the ground was not leveled afterwards. My old corded mower would not cut properly. Plus, I love not having a cord to drag around. Love this thing and would recommend to anyone looking for a great cordless mower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for me! I absolutely love my Greenworks battery operated lawn mower! I am in my 60’s and our old gas mower was just too heavy and bulky for me to use. I can get the job done in no time now and store it on the wall since there’s no fluids in it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and Effective Assembled in a few minutes. Used it for the first time today. Such a good experience. Cut through heavy Florida grass without any issues. No fumes, quiet, and very effective. Have been pleased with the other Greenworks products, so I had high expectations for this, as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great mower The mower works great, light weight, quick charge batteries, cuts fantastic. The only thing stopping from me giving 5 stars, is the discharge hole from the deck is way too small, it clogs up about every 10-15 minutes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets the job done, but some issues Got this as a Christmas gift two years ago. The mower works well enough. Sometimes you have to mow a spot twice if you let your grass get too long. Keep up with your mowing on at least a biweekly interval or else your battery won’t make it. Battery life could be better. My biggest issue is with the charger. It shows fully charged batteries when my battery is obviously empty. It won’t charge all the time, and sometimes all it does is heat up my battery. I went with battery operated mowers because I was having an issue fixing my gas mower, and I can store this mower vertically. I would recommend getting a mower with a better battery life or more reliable charger.

Why does it not always not cut the grass

Asked by: Linda k
Hello Linda k, We're sorry to hear about this. A sharp blade will greatly enhance the performance of the mower. Not only does a sharp blade provide a cleaner cut but it also helps clippings to discharge appropriately. Be sure to check the blades and to sharpen them or replace them at least once per year. In addition, mow only when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade, clump up and will not appropriately discharge. Be sure to clean the deck underneath of your mower as well, any build-up of debris could affect the performance of the unit and prevent proper power. Do not spray water under the deck of the mower. For caked-on grass, use a scraper to get rid of the grass and then you can use a damp cloth to wipe off and loose pieces. Finish by wiping with a dry cloth and if you have a steel mower deck, spraying lightly with a silicone spray or lawnmower deck spray. Here are a few other tips as well to achieve the best cut: 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Alternate mowing patterns each time you mow. As grass develops a grain based on your cutting direction it will lean towards the direction of your mowing path. Changing the pattern allows better vertical growth and helps to keep the cut neater. 4) For best results keep the grass under 4" in length and walk at a slow but steady pace to allow the blades to cut efficiently. We hope this helps. If not, please feel welcome to contact us at 1-888-909-6757 or by submitting an email to info@greenworkstools.com.

We Have charge both batteries but lawnmower will not turn over we’re wondering if maybe the starter switch is wet or damaged? Also a red light comes on on the right side even though we know if charge both batteries fully.

Asked by: Marcela33
Hello Marcela33, We're sorry for the troubles you're experiencing. Please ensure that you're starting the unit in the correct order. If this is done in any other way you will not be able to start the unit. 1. Push and hold down the safety button. 2. While the safety button is being held down lift up the bail lever. 3. Once the unit starts you can now release the start switch and continue to hold onto the bail lever. This is the only way in which the unit will turn on. If done in any other order the unit will not turn on. The light from the battery compartment simply advises which side is being used.

How long do the batteries last? The charger says both are fully charged, but the mower won’t start. Bought this about 3 years ago.

Asked by: Lorna
Hello Lorna, If the charger has been left plugged into the outlet try resetting it by unplugging it and plugging it back in. You may have to do this twice to ensure a complete reset. If the battery is too warm it will also not charge. Secondly, ensure that you are starting the unit in the correct order. Hold the safety button down, while the button is being held down, lift up the bail lever (start lever). Once the unit turns on release the safety button and continue to hold onto the bail handle for the duration use. Each time the unit turns off you must start it in the same sequence. Any other way and the unit will not turn on. We hope this information has helped.
