Rated 3 out of 5 by from This really needs a fan! This gets too hot, it without a doubt needs a cooling fan. Compounding the problem, the internal heat sinks are oriented the wrong way; horizontally instead of vertically to promote better air flow. The heat transfers into the battery pack which does run cool in operation. Inserting the pack requires a hard push to 'seat' the pack, but removing it is another thing. I'm surprised I never read any complaints about that. It's really tough to remove the pack, bordering on almost impossible w/o help. I can't see anyone with arthritis in their hands doing so. FWIW; AC power consumption is 130 watts max, that tapers down towards the end of the charging cycle of 2 hours for a 60v 4ah pack. Eight minutes after the indicator light goes solid green, the charger goes into a idle state at .5watt

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working after a month Noticed my second 60 battery wasn't fully charged and thought it wasn't positioned on the charger properly... It was, so took it off and put it back on. No charge light. Unplugged the unit and noticed a small electric spark when re-plugging in (this happened with all our outlets I tried as well). So, now I have to buy another charger. My wife got me an entire Greenworks Pro set up (Mower, blower, trimmer) as a gift, and now we have no way of charging any of them... No Bueno!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer beware I’m on my third battery and have only used the mower twice. I removed the latest battery from the charger once the green light stopped blinking, put it in the mower made sure the red key was inserted and the mower still won’t start. This mower and battery have been a headache from day one. I would not recommend buying.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Makes buzzing noise when charging Charging for the first time. The green light starts blinking and the charger makes a buzzing noise which is kind of irritating. I was not sure if this buzzing noise is common.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never worked I bought the pole saw at Lowe’s. Comes with a 2 ah battery. Plugged it into charge, see the green light blinking on the charger. After a day the battery shows no charge (no light when I pressed the indicator). Tried several times and same results. Not sure what to do now but I know cutting anything isn’t an option.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery Charger Failed After 9 Months I bought the mower, weed wacker, and chain saw along with several batteries. I'm extremely satisfied with the other products in the line, but my battery charger stopped working after less than a year. The light doesn't come on and the batteries won't charge anymore. Extremely disappointing giving the quality of the rest of the line. It seems like the warranty process is much more involved than just buying a new charger.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet Running mower & other accessories I purchased the mower, (Comes with the bigger Battery) on a Saturday last fall. Used it after charging the battery, and was pleasently surprized how quiet it was. That was the reason I purchased and Electric mower. I went back in to look for an electric (cordless) Trimmer. Now I have two batteries and two Chargers. I use the blower much more than I thought I would. It comes in handy for blowing leaves & grass out the the garage and off the Patio. One Problem, One Of the battery Chargers seemed to quit shortly after Purchase. Since I had Two chargers, It created no problem. The other charger works as it should, and has done a great Job. I love the equipment, I just would like to do something about the (defective) charger. I purchased it at Lowe's in Enid, and they do not handle warranty on non Lowe's products. Can you help me with this? AS a further note, I was surprized how much power these machines have.

When recharge begins, charger flashing green. But, the battery (60V) charges to just one bar and the charger light flashes red. I have tried the unplug/wait/plugin solution w/o success. Should I replace charger or battery?

Asked by: JPMC
Hello JPMC, Thank you for your question. The red flashing would indicate an issue with the battery as indicated on the the sticker label on the charger and from inside the owner's manual. It does come with a 2-year limited warranty and we will be happy to take a closer look into the issue with you. Please contact us at 1-888-909-6757 or by email to info@greenworkstools.com. Please be advised we are currently experiencing delays due to the current pandemic COVID-19. We apologize for any inconvenience these delays may cause you. Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.

1st prolonged use. mower quit(wheels worked, but blade stopped) tried to charge battery(when plugged into charger-as the battery top green lights go out and the charger red light comes on-there is no flashing green light and no apparent charging.

Asked by: dageezzer
Hello dageezzer, Here are a few suggestions to check out. 1) Ensure that the charger is working. When the charger is plugged in you should see a solid red light on the left to indicate power. When the battery is inserted, the right light should also ignite solid red to indicate that it is charging. If this light on the right is not igniting or is flashing red, this may indicate an issue and we would be interested in hearing more about this. 2) Ensure that the battery has been fully inserted into the charger. Sometimes this requires a firm push into place to make sure that it has been properly seated. 3) Try resetting the charger. To do this, simply unplug it for approximately 10 minutes and then plug it back in and try reinserting the battery. If the charger has been plugged in for extended periods of time, this can sometimes cause the charger to malfunction. We hope these tips will help however, if they do not please kindly contact us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or by email on info@greenworkstools.com for further assistance.

Why doesn’t battery come out of the battery charger?

Asked by: Littlebit
Hello Littlebit, The battery does require a firm pull to release. If the battery has been properly aligned with the rails on the charger you should be able to remove it without issues. If you have a difficulty pull it from the top, try pushing it from the bottom up. I hope this help!
