Rated 4 out of 5 by from 80v 18in chain saw It works well (very simple) but the weight distribution isn’t great for limbing at shoulder height or higher. It does seem to really go through chain oil and continues to have it leak when not running so make sure to store it without chain oil in it or put a rag under the chain housing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from top Prosumer chainsaw I've been using this for a few years now and it has held up well. There is a bit of a learning curve. You need to allow the saw to do the work, if you force it the chain can bind or come off. You need at least two batteries and ideally three for continuous operation. Customer support is decent and have helped me with replacement nuts for the cover

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Get ready to cut! This is a great and clean saw. The only reservation I have is that the battery makes the unit somewhat heavy and throws the balance off. But, that’s the price for no longer depending on a smelly gas chainsaw.

About how many cuts could i expect from a 2 Ah battery on 12-15in logs?

Asked by: Zachb
The cross sectional area of 150 cuts of 4x4 dimensional lumber is 1,838 square inches. That's equivalent to 16 cuts of a 12-inch log or 10 cuts of a 15-inch log. In my experience, it seems to do a bit more than that.

In terms of power, is there a difference between the 18" and the 16" version?

Asked by: KC Jackoroni
Hello KC Jackoroni, Please provide a model number of the 16" unit you're referring to. This model is equivalent to 45cc gas engine. Please feel welcome to ask this question again providing the model numbers of the units you're comparing or you can compare the product description from both units. Ultimately the choice is yours.

Why would one chose the 16 inch over the 18 inch 80 v saw?  Thank you for you perspective.

Asked by: Stevechr
Hello Stevechr, The choice of which chainsaw depends on the customer's intent of use. If you require a longer saw then an 18" would be more beneficial. Both units are reliable, lighter in weight and quieter than their gas counterparts. Please view the descriptions for more information or download the corresponding manuals for each unit.

How I know if the chain oiling works properly? The chain seems very dry...

Asked by: Namir
Hello Namir, We're sorry for your troubles. Make sure that you are using only bar and chain oil to fill the oil reservoir. Run the unit for a minute or two unloaded prior to use. The blades should be oiled. Turn off the unit. Use a tissue to wipe the blade and see if there's any residue. Try loosening the cap oil slightly then closing it back up and run it unloaded again. If issues continue, please contact us at info@greenworkstools.com. *Please be advised we are currently experiencing delays due to the current pandemic. We thank you for your patience and understanding. *
