QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Can this trimmer be used with a blade?

Asked by: Tom70
Hello Tom70, We do not advise using a metal blade for the trimmer head of this unit. We recommend a brush cutter attachment from, Poulan Pro, Ryobi Expand-It or Trimmer plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Load String Great tool to add to my Greenworks 80v Pro collection! Haven't field-tested yet, but love the easy string-load

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The needed string trimmer I waited a few months to add this trimmer to my Greenworks pro 80V system. My rural property needs a trimmer that can handle heavy brush. On it's test drive with the supplied string I was able to take out a patch where I wanted to plant fruit trees. It handled it great. I need to play with the shoulder strap for the right length (definitely needed).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good and bad I bought this along with the 80V mower. Love the mower, still on the fence somewhat with the trimmer. My major complaint is with GW customer service. First unit did not work out of box. Contacted GW and got automated reply. A couple days later after no reply, I sent another e-mail. Still no reply after a week. Called Amazon where I bought from, thankfully, got a replacement in a couple days and this one worked. Not happy with GW customer service. As for the trimmer, it could use some redesign. The battery inserts in the side and protrudes a couple of inches, so it is heavy to one side and wants to tilt to that side, so you need to get use to that. Would be better if the battery inserted directly in the back so the weight is more evenly distributed. Also I have had some times when after stopping and laying it down for a few minutes, it wouldn't start back up. If I took the battery out and reinserted it, it would start up. So not sure what is happening here, but overall I am OK with it. It does a good trimming, edging, and is much quieter than a power trimmer.
