Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice trimmer but could use some better engineering My new hedge trimmer works great with the 80v battery I have been using for years with other GW equipment. However, because the trimmer cannot be used unless the entire pole assembly is together, it can be difficult to use and maneuver. The unit does break down into two pieces but there is currently no way to use the trimmer without the second extension pole attached, it has the on/off handle/switch!? I would be willing to purchase an additional attachment were it available that is basically the on/off handle/switch that could plug into the trimmer and it's handle. No added extension, just the on/off controller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best trimmer I've ever owned I've had the mower, weed wacker for two years with no problems cutting & trimming my yard, the power that these tools have is amazing and it's very difficult to impress me but Green works did. So, I needed a new trimmer with reach due to I don't do ladders anymore and the cordless adjustable Hedge trimmer is the best investment that I've made so far this year, waiting on the leaf blower to become available next!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT CORDLESS POLE HEDGE TRIMMER Just used for the first time the new cordless 60v pole hedge trimmer and was surprisingly pleased with its features, weight is well balanced and feels light, the blade is sharp and the angle adjustments were ideal. I used the trimmer for over an hour and was still cutting. Overall a lot better than my gas hedge trimmer, lighter and don't have to wear ear mufflers and gas emission to breathe in. Easy storage due to a small footprint. 4 years warranty on both tool and battery is hard to beat. GREAT JOB GREENWORKS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Reach I live in Florida and stuff grows fast. The trimmer has long reach I can trim 8ft-9th tall hedge with no problems. Also plenty of power, its better than gas I got in on sale , so it was good deal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful and easy to use Cuts through what I need it to. Smooth. Fairly light (if you use the shoulder strap). Charges fast and lasts a long time. The reach is amazing! No more ladders for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new go to Trimmer! I owned the 80V blower and hedge trimmer and was impressed so buying the pole hedge trimmer was an easy decision when I decided to replace my old pole trimmer. I've owned the new one for two weeks and it's become my go to hedge trimmer for almost everything. The cutting power is tremendous, equal to a gas trimmer as it makes easy work of difficult projects. I trimmed 40 feet of Winter Gem hedge that used to take 2 hours in 30 minutes with the new trimmer. Outstanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value; excellent customer service My wife was given a 40 volt model a couple years ago and she likes it, so that led me to check out Greenworks. We bought this larger 3/4" capacity model specifically for use on a large myrtle hedge which borders our ranch entry road; it is mature at 12 to 15 feet high with some thick stems and is on both sides of the road with a total length close to 75 yards. This hedge needs to be trimmed every couple years to preserve good vehicle entry/egress. Prior to purchase, trimming this hedge took us 2 to 3 days of very arduous hand trimming. We were able to complete the entire job with this tool in 4 hours! We had originally considered purchasing a tractor-operated hydraulically lift-able sickle blade mower to do this job at a cost of over $5000 so at $269 this was a real bargain. We also have a variety of other trees and brush which line our roadways and this tool was able to effectively deal with all of them. Well worth the money. Unfortunately at the end of the day we let one of our young employees use it without proper training, and he "hacked" it up and down at an oak branch which was too thick for the tool; he should have used pruners. Repeated use this way broke the tool in half at the plastic fitting about an inch below the motor. I called Customer Service and told them of the event, requesting a replacement top section be sent out and expecting to pay full charges since this was clearly not a factory defect issue. They requested photos of the damage which I sent. I was extremely surprised and blown away when they said they would send an ENTIRE replacement tool (minus the battery or charger) - not just the top section but the bottom one too - at NO CHARGE! The replacement arrived quickly in a couple weeks (from Canada to California). Note that they do not currently carry spare parts such as a spare blade assembly - this was explained to me as being so because the blade mounting is integral with the motor assembly and not designed to be replaced in the field. But since I had originally wanted a spare blade and now I have one, plus a spare motor, that solves my problem. I did make a suggestion to the Customer Service rep that having spare parts such as the blade available would be a good thing and she said they would take that under advisement. We were able to use the tool for several hours before it needed charging; the recharge took less than an hour. The charger has a built-in cooling fan and appears to be very robust and well designed. I have it on an external timer which kicks in for a short period each day so that the battery is not "cooked" but it does appear to have internal sensing circuits to minimize damage from constant 24-hour charging. The only issue I have with this unit is the weight; it does tend to feel heavy after a full day of use and I'm sure this contributed to the accident mentioned above. We got it with the 2A battery; a larger battery would be even heavier. But the shoulder strap does help with tool balance a lot and reduces fatigue to a minimum; the battery is at the very bottom of the unit so the weight distribution is the best it could be. One of the reasons I purchased this unit is the long reach. It is not extendable at the pole sections, but a six foot person can easily reach the top of our hedge so I felt this would be a good compromise. While the weight is a negative factor, it is one that really cannot be helped and must be accepted if one is interested in the 3/4" cutting capacity which requires the larger voltage battery. I am rating the durability Good as opposed to Excellent simply because of the possibility for breakage at the plastic joints as occurred to our unit; however that was due to misuse of the tool; also we have not had the unit long yet. Ideally if the factory could make those sections out of a stronger materiel that would be great but it might increase the cost as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy and heavy-duty- well-made! It's little heavy on the tool end, but very sturdy and it cuts like a demon. It was fairly battery-sparing- cutting for over an hour, with only about of the battery's charge was used up. It cut thru heavy stalks and saplings [we used it to cut down the invasive reeds [phrages] and other plants around our pond [mostly].
