why should I purchase your premium bar and chain oil for the chain saw I just purchased from Lowe’s for $10.00 when as you say I can purchase any generic bar and chain oil for 5 bucks? It’s your chain saw and you recommend yours for the best performance..

Asked by: Amazon
Hello there, There is not requirement that you use our Premium Bar and Chain Lubricant, as it is correct that any generic bar and chain oil is able to be used in our chainsaws. We currently offer our bar and chain oil for $9.99 with no shipping charges (U.S. outside Alaska and Hawaii).

I just recently bought the 24v pole hedge trimmer 22242. Ive used hedge trimmers in the past and had to lubricate the bars and blades. No where in the manual does it say to do that or what lubricant to use. do I need to and if so what lubricant?

Asked by: stacey
Hello stacey, Yes, seasonal maintenance is required for our hedge trimmers. 1. Remove dirt and debris from blades using a paint brush or similar brush for tools 2. Clean the blades by applying a light machine oil to the blades and cutting bar. 3. After heavy use thoroughly check your blades for deformation or imperfections and file edges if necessary to provide a sharper cut. Use a metal machine file. If you are unable to do this yourself, we advise bringing the hedge trimmer to a qualified technician to help sharpen the blades. 4. After sharpening the blade apply a light machine oil or lithium based spray-on grease to the blades
