Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great clearing height I had to face a 14 inch snow blizzard in the Midwest and was expected to receive the snowblower on the same day but as luck would have it UPS postponed the delivery to the next day due to incremental weather. I shoveled half the driveway and left the other half for the snowblower. I was wondering whether the machine can handle wet heavy snow a day later but it did a pretty good job in clearing up thick snow, I had to use all of my 5amp, 4amp, and 2amp batteries to clear 600 square feet of heavy and compressed snow from driveway and apron. I have used another 56V competitor snowblower before, the features and performance are almost identical with the Greenworks model being a little wider and the same clearing height, Greenworks does not have a variable speed but that should not be an issue for people who want to throw the snow as far as possible. The button to eject batteries is better on Greenworks. I have seen some YouTube videos complaining about the skid plates being a little high for the 80V line, based on my experience that is not a problem with the 60V line, can’t say whether there are different skid plates on the 60V line. I am already invested in other Greenworks 60V line products, very annoyed that Lowe’s doesn’t carry these anymore. I am glad that Greenworks produced this powerful dual port battery option for their 60V consumers, please don’t abandon us ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You really should consider this if you are tired of maintenance with gas. Was not really sure about electric snow thrower, here in Michigan we get heavy wet stuff and I must say I was impressed. First time there was about 3-4 inches and unit went through with out a hitch. A few weeks later we got another 4-5 inches of wet snow and still no worries. Driveway is about 100 ft x 15 ft and within 20 minutes it was done on a single charge! Adjustable height and shift direction worked like a dream, so glad I don't have to wrestle with a heavy, gas powered, single stage thrower anymore. Quiet enough not to bother the neighbors and lights work well too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to assemble, easy to use. Perfect! Had a big snow right after I received delivery. Easy to charge the batteries, and the held the charge long enough to help our neighbors by clearing their (large) driveway and sidewalks (they're on a corner lot, so it was no small task). What a great machine!

What is the best way to store this snow blower over the summer if I don't have any other Greenworks products in which to use the batteries?

Asked by: Ginn
Hello Ginn, Thank you for your question! I would be happy to offer some recommendations how to care + store Lithium-ion batteries and your snow blower. Lithium-ion batteries have several advantages, they have a higher energy density than most other types of rechargeable batteries. This means that for their size or weight they can store more energy than other rechargeable batteries. Lithium-ion batteries also have a lower self-discharge rate than other types of rechargeable batteries. This means that once they are charged, they will retain their charge for a longer time than other types of rechargeable batteries. For example, NiMH and NiCd batteries can lose anywhere from 1-5% of their charge per day (depending on the storage temperature) even if they are not installed in a device. Lithium-ion batteries will retain most of their charge even after months of storage. The batteries should be stored in a covered, shaded and cool area with temperatures that do not go over 40c (104F) or under 6c (42.8F). The best way to store the battery and charger is simply to store it inside where the temperature is easily controlled. Please remember to store the charger unplugged. We recommend removing it after charging is complete. Overcharging can damage a battery and shorten its life. The recommended ambient temperature range for storing your snow thrower: temperature range 1.4F (-17C) ~ 113F (45C). Hope this information was helpful!

Will 4a batteries work good with this unit

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello there, This unit is compatible with all Greenworks 60V battery models. The higher the ampere-hour (ah) rating is on a battery, the longer the run time will be.
