Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Battery for serious jobs Great battery, I use the 5 Ah batteries in my self-propelled mower as well as my snow blower. I have a little less than 3/4 of an acre and i can mow the whole lawn on one charge. Wth snow blowing i can clear my driveway with a single battery, I bought an extra 5Ah so I can handle multiple runs as needed

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works just as well as the 4.0 Ah I've only used it once in my lawn mower, it's fine but doesn't seem to last any longer than my 4.0 Ah... I got it on sale so no biggie. Would I buy it again? If offered a deal, you bet.

This listing for the 5Ah battery says it fits all 80V tools but then someone in the comments was told it would NOT fit in their snowblower that was made before 2017. My mower was from 2018 (1/17/2018 on the S/N label). Will it work in my lawn mower then?

Asked by: tbobpage
Hello tbobpage, Thank you for asking. Yes, you may use any of our 80V battery models in any of our 80V tools. The only exception is the 20" snowthrower models manufactured prior to September of 2017, they can only use 2.0Ah/2.5Ah batteries.

Has the 5ah battery ever been in stock in the last 2 years? I see questions asking about it from a year ago. I've been checking the status for a year now and even signed up to be notified, but all I get are advertisments.

Asked by: ClydeM
Hello, Yes, this product has been in stock. It has, however, been out of stock for a greater period of time than expected due to shipping and distribution complications of the pandemic. Rest assured, we are expecting more to come in at the beginning of May! Stay tuned.

I can get an 82V from my local landscape supply company. Will the 82V work in an 80V lawnmower, weed trimmer and. blower?

Asked by: BRieli
Hello Plymouth265, Unfortunately, you cannot cross voltage lines. The 82V battery can only be used with our 82V products, 80V products can only be used with our 80V batteries.

I'm trying to get a list of the tools with which the 80V/5Ah battery is compatible. From what I can tell, this will not include either the 80V string trimmer or the 80V chainsaws. Is that correct?

Asked by: Albus
Hello Albus, While it should work without issue with our current 80v tools. The best option for weight distribution and comfort of handling is the 2.0Ah or 2.5Ah batteries. This process also reduces the chance of kickback when saw in in use. If you any further questions, please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).

how can all these 80v batteries fit all types of equipment when the different amp/hour batteries have different lengths? Is it ok if the battery sticks out of my chain saw or snow blower? If I put a shorter battery in my lawn mower, how will I get it out?

Asked by: SRO1
Hello sox 1, That is a great question and we would be happy to discuss this with you. All current 80v unit should be compatible 80v battery and charger. With the exceptions of the chainsaw for optimal weight distribution they require use of either our 2.0Ah or 2.5Ah batteries. This process also reduces the chance of kickback when saw in in use. However, if you are referring to an 80V snow blower manufacture before 08/17/2017 please contact us directly via email using the customer contact page on our website for further discussion.

Please list the dimensions of this battery. I bought this battery for my 80v snowblower and it does not fit properly. The battery is much taller and sticks out past the snowblower lid. I now worry that moisture will get into the machine and ruin it. :(

Asked by: Blackhawks
Hello there - The dimensions of this battery is 8.2" x 4.6" x 3.4". It's important to know that if your 2600402 snowthrower was manufactured prior to September 2017, it can only use 80V 2.0Ah or 80V 2.5Ah batteries. However, if it was manufactured afterwards it can use any of our 80v battery models. You can identify the manufacture date by looking at the date code following the serial number. The older models are not designed for use with a 4Ah or 5Ah battery. The reason for this being that the battery door will not close with a 4ah battery attached due to its increased length. The battery door cannot be open during use as there will be moisture in the air from the snow.
