This unit should not be used with a bladed trimmer head. We recommend a full attachment replacement for a brush cutter. This unit does not use replacement spools. Simply use trimmer line at .080 inches in diameter to rewind the existing spool. Hello Robert1286, This is a bump and feed unit. While the unit is on, gently tap the bottom on the ground to extend 1/4" of line. the more often you bump it the more line will feed out. We hope this information has helped.
