Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I read the reviews about battery life. I saw the other fellows complaint about battery life and have seen that complaint before so I took a different route when buying.Everybody seems to like the mower when its working so I bought the mower, trimmer and blower in a package deal from lowes. That way I got two batteries, two chargers and enough power to mow and trim and blow debris. you get about an hour from the big guy and about half from the other one.I live on a corner lot and hour and a half is plenty of battery time for my place. BTW the book doesn't say anything about this but I noticed when it runs out of power it beeps to let you know.I like the tools as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from frustated and disapointed I bought my greenworks lawnmower and it only came with one battery, the price for the lawnmower was very high, it should come with two batteries since one battery is not enough to have the job done. So I have been trying to buy another battery 60volts, 5.0 to complete cutting the yard, not only they are out of stock right now, but they are unbelievable expensive. I also purchase a weedeater from greenworks, and I need to replace the head that spin around (don't know how is call)because it came flying the other day. I don't even know if I can replace the part and if so can I do it my self or do I need to take it to get fix?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Mower; Poor Battery Life! I'm so disappointed. I purchased a lawn mower about two weeks ago and I have not been able to complete a single cut without having to recharge. The mower has the capacity to hold two 60v 5ah batteries and I have been searching--to no avail--for another battery. I was really excited about my purchase and the fact that the mower doesn't require gas, oil, and is described as pretty much maintenance-free. But what a headache! I haven't even been able to find a second battery at any retail stores. What's really going on?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery life is bad and expensive I bought the self propelled mower today and was excited about using the product. I got home charged the battery and gave it a go. This mower is nice but you need 3 batteries and only one comes with the purchase. You need another one or two more at 200.00 a piece. Either I want a free battery 5.0ah or I’ll be returning the product for a gas powered and complete different company product. So angry with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this mower I've read all of the reviews in regards to the battery life and I agree that it would be great if the battery lasted long enough to finish my lawn. We also get about an hour out of the battery and then have to charge to finish. But I'm purchasing a second battery and I disagree that the $199 price is high. It's well worth it now that I don't have to go to the gas station anymore. No more gas can in my car or buying gas. I think that the cost of the battery is nothing compared to spilling gas all over my driveway. Love the performance of the mower and it is so quiet I can mow any time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Enough Charge We bought a 21" 60V Cordless Self-propelled Mower last month that came with this battery. We bought this model and brand based on the fact that the battery was supposed to have some life to it. This fully charged battery lasts only about an hour! That is it! Our grass is low, so it should last a bit longer. We are disappointed in this purchase, and are stuck with it at this point. We are going to have to buy another battery so we could swap it out after the hour so we can finish mowing, but paying $199 for the 5.0 which only lasts an hour is really not worth it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible battery life I have used this mower twice, seeing it advertised as a one hour battery. Both times, the fully charged battery lasted about 30 minutes. $200 for a second battery is about the cost of a mower. Complete rip off

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery Life is HORRENDOUS! Lower is great. I own about 1/4 acre of grass, and was looking for a simple way to cut the grass while also saving the environment a bit (am slowly transitioning away from gas powered tools). Well I got this and was super excited, only to find out I needed to charge it 3 times during my first mow. Now I will say my lawn was a little big longer, so expected some added resistance. I then cut my lawn a second time a week later, and was very disappointed as I got about 2/3 the way done (I tried not to use Self-Propelling when possible and also opted to bag my clippings which both should help with range supposedly), and had not even started the weed wacking. I called and was told I could return the whole thing to Lowes, but what an inconvenience. With a second 5Ah battery this would probably be a good solution for a 1/4 acre but because the battery is $200+, I will likely just return to Lowes and go back to a gas powered. For those considering this mower, this is really made for VERY SMALL lawns even with the "extended range" battery, as using mulching and self-propelling options will cut your run time in half if not more. I get between 25-45 mins of run time depending how much I use those options. My lawn looks like this! (great cut, but only half done!).

When will the 60v 5Ah batteries be available? I have the 21" mower and only having one battery turns mowing my lawn into an all day event. Had I known that additional batteries wouldn't be available i would NOT have purchased this product.

Asked by: Blake13
Hello Blake13, We're sorry for the inconvenience you've faced in trying to find a replacement battery. The battery is expected to be available closer to Mid-July.

How long does the 60 volt 5.0 amp battery run on 4 lights and 3 lights as indicated on the charger.

Asked by: cas65
Hello cas65, The battery should get to full charge when placed on the charger. The run time of the battery will vary depending on the unit it's being used on and the load. For example with a fully charged 5.0Ah battery it should provide up to 60 minutes of run time when used in a mower.

Is this item coming back in stock? . No one seems to have it in stock. Is there an equivalent replacement size if this one is no longer available? For instance can I use an 80 v 4ah in place of this?

Asked by: BLucas
Hello BLucas, This item is estimated to be available around late June early July. Please note this is an estimation and subject to change. We have unfortunately been experiencing delays due to the current pandemic COVID-19. We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time. No, the GreenWorks 80v battery will not work as replacement option. Only batteries in the GreenWorks 60v platform can be used with GreenWorks 60v units.

2 months ago I was told you would have the 60 volt 5ah battery in stock at the end of March. When will you have it? Why would you sell a mower that takes two batteries and only supply one.

Asked by: Jgaco307
Hello jgaco307, We're terribly sorry for the delays. Unfortunately, due to the current events we are experiencing delays. We hope to have this item to you around late June/July. This date again is an estimation and is subject to change. We provide one battery as this meets the desirable price points for most of our customers. Please note all GreenWorks 60v units can be used with all GreenWorks 60v batteries.
