How does the AiMowbot work?
The AiMowbot is a wire free, autonomous mowing solution controlled by the app in your smart device. It is guided by RTKVision™ which combines satellite positioning and 3D camera vision to navigate and mow the yard. Once it completes the mowing task it automatically returns to its charging station and charges up its batteries.
How difficult is it to setup and install?
Setup and installation are easy. The system includes three components: the mower, the charging station, and the RTK antenna. After downloading the app, follow the instructions in the Quick Start Guide (QSG) or in the AiMowbot Smart app to install the charging station and the RTK antenna. You can easily pair with the mower using the QR code displayed on the mower’s screen. Then you’re ready to start mapping your yard.
How do I mark the perimeter of my yard?
The AiMowbot is a wire free, autonomous mowing solution controlled by the app in your smart device. It does not require a physical boundary wire like other models require. Instead using the app you will simply virtually mark the permiter of your yard. This is done by driving the AiMowbot around the permiter of your yard using the app to control it.
How big a lawn can the AiMowbot mow?
This will vary by model. Please review the cutting area printed either on the product page of the mower online or on its packaging. Consider how much "mowable" grass your yard has. We recommend purchasing a unit that offers a little more than the size of your mowable grass.
How long does the AiMowbot mow on a fully charged battery?
The AiMowbot will mow between 1-1.5 hours per charge. However, this is not important. Remember this is a fully autonomous system. When the AiMowbot runs out of battery, it will quietly return to its charging station to charge up the batteries. When fully charged the AiMowbot will return to exact spot where it left off and continue mowing.
Does it offer obstacle avoidance?
The AiMowbot is equipped with an Ai-assisted 3D Time of Flight camera. This sophisticated camera is able to detect and avoid 200+ common objects. Therefore rest assured your kids, pets and favorite yard furniture are safe while AiMowbot is mowing.
How well does the AiMowbot handle pet waste?
The AiMowbot's Ai-assisted 3D camera detects and avoids 200+ objects. However, it may not detect all pet waste. If it does not detect it will simply run over it.
How well does AiMowbot handle uneven terrain and slopes?
This will vary by model. The C-Series mowers can handle moderate slopes. These units offer front wheel drive. The AiMowbot family of product also includes All-Wheel-Drive models that are designed specifically for the purpose of overcoming uneven terrain and/or steep slopes. The AiMowbot G-Series can go up, across and down a 38 degree slope. Furthermore thanks to the AWD traction it can easily drive across ledges, tree roots and other obstacles commonly found in the yard.
What features does the app offer?
The AiMowbot app controls every aspect of the mower. From the app you can map your yard, splitting into different zones like mowing zones, no go zones and transport paths. You can set a mowing schedule for each mowing zone. You can also choose the cut height right from the app.
Is the mower not an easy target for theft?
The AiMowbot offers multiple levels of safety features such as lift sensors and alarms and GPS tracking. This means that if the mower can always be tracked in the app.
What should the weather be like for ideal operating conditions?
The AiMowbot lives outdoors which means it is completely water proof with an IPX6 certification. Furthermore, select Aerobot mowers are equipped with rain sensors that will notice if it starts to rain. This is automatically pause the mowing and send the robot back to its charging station.
How do I maintain my AiMowbot?
Given its IPX6 certification, it is easy to maintain and clean your mower. We recommend using a garden hose to wash off the undercarriage and cutting system of the mower. Furthermore, for maintaining pristine cutting quality we also recommend replacing the cutting blades after approximately 80 hours of cutting. It is also recommended to clean the camera lens at least once a month.
Operating and Seasonal Tips
The AiMowbot does not cut in the same way a traditional walk behind or ride on mower cuts the grass. For the best looking cut results we recommend setting the AiMowbot to cut each mowing zone 2-3 times a week. This may vary during the different seasons of the year. The faster the grass grows the more often the AiMowbot should mow. During the winter season we recommend storing the AiMowbot inside a garage or tool shed. The battery should be fully charged when brought inside for winter storage.
