Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much faster than the stock charger Much faster than the stock charger that came with my lawnmower. A bit pricey, but thankfully I was able to get it at a discount. Definitely an improvement. I can recharge two 40 batteries in a fraction of the time it used to take to charge a single battery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Efficient Charging Station I bought this dual-charging system in combination with a pair of 5 AH HC batteries for my mower. Charges both cells in tandem quickly. Cooling fans for power electronics generate surprising noise while charging, but it's only a minor blip to get used to. I was, however, surprised that the unit does not seem to shut itself down once the batteries are fully charging. Display LEDs indicate full charge has been reached, but the fans keep blowing. You have to unplug to shut it down.

What gives?  Plugged it in for the first time.  Charged up both batteries amd then quit.  Stopped working.  No lights.  No fan.....no charging. Anyone have any ideas?  Can find a fuse or a reset button.

Asked by: BlakeS

Wondering if this charger's fan shuts off when fully charged? New purchase, first charge so I will probably have the answer myself very shortly. I am just anxious to use the mower but do not want to interrupt the charge cycle.

Asked by: Jon58
Hello Jon58, The fan should turn off shortly after charging. It will however activate when needed or stay activated to cool the batteries down.

I've been using my new 60v dual battery mower for about a month now. Love it. But is the charger supposed to turn off when the batteries are fully charged? Mine will run for days if I don't unplug the charger from the wall.

Asked by: ScoLab
Hello ScoLab, The battery chargers do have auto cut offs to prevent it from over charging. However, we do advise customers to remove the battery from the charger after it has been fully charged and to also unplug the charger from the outlet, as this is good electrical safety practice to do so. This will also help to prevent false defects reading and allows the charger to reset itself each time it’s used to charge a battery.

Is there a performance difference between this and the 6 amp dual-port charger? The site doesn't really articulate how this one is better (or the other may be better); the descriptions are almost identical. I have 3 of the 60V 5 AH batteries.

Asked by: morningphyre
Hello morningphyre, There are a few differences! The 6A version is basically two of our 60V rapid chargers running sequentially – first one side then the other (charges 1 x 60V 2.0Ah in 30minutes, 2 x 60V 2.0Ah batteries in 60minutes). While the 10A would be like two extremely rapid chargers. This model switches back and forth between the batteries during charging to keep internal thermal conditions optimal for long battery life whilst still providing a rapid charge. Makes charging times a little more complicated but overall would charge much faster. You may also reference the manuals found on each product page for some further technical info.
