Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and Powerful Bought this a few weeks ago because I wanted a shop vac and don't have any outdoor electrical plugs. It's versatile, you can use it either with an electrical outlet or with two 60v batteries. At this time I have not yet tried it on battery power but using the plug it has alot of power and does the job. Easy to assemble.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A better shop vac Great suction with power cord or batteries, much better than my prior orange plug in vac. The hose holder could use some improvement- the hose often doesn't stay in place for storage on the one side. Its relatively heavy, especially with batteries, as expected. Overall it's well designed, very sturdy, and very versatile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dry wet vac. Used it on patio and garage. Easy to carry or roll. No cords to deal with made it very convenient and spent less time on cleaning

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wet or dry, here or there; this vac will suction up your worries! Love the AC/DC flexibility of this wet dry vac!! I'm able to get to places to clean and vacuum up crud that I wouldn't have been able to before lol. The suction power is reduced slightly while on battery power, but it's a non-issue. A well executed tool thanks greenworks!!!

Can it be also used as a blower, or is it only a vacuum ?

Asked by: Mike60
Well, I just bought and received one of these ac/dc vacuums, so I can now answer my own question. Yes, it can also be used as a blower. Simply remove the hose from the vacuum port, and insert it into the blowing port.

How much run time can I expect from two, fully charged PRO 60V HC 2.0 AH batteries?

Asked by: MikeH2020
Hello MikeH2020 - Thank you for your question. Experience maximum power with wind speeds up to 90 CFM and a runtime of up to 30 minutes when using two 60v 2.0Ah battery models.

Is this shop vac compatible with your 80 batteries--it specs 60, but not clear based on a response here that says you can use your 80 batteries.  Reason for the question is I have a blower that uses an 80 battery and ideally I would use it here also.

Asked by: JKarch
Hello JKarch, No, this is a GreenWorks 60v unit and can only be used with GreenWorks 60v batteries and chargers. Each voltage line has its own set of interchangeable tools and batteries but are not interchangeable across different voltage lines.

Where do you get replacement filters?

Asked by: Miker
Try the type U #90304 / #90344 Shop-Vac brand replacement filters. I have not yet tried these I only got the Vac last week but in doing some research and measurements at the local blue/white hardware store they look like the same filters and twist in plug that holds it in. Hope that helps. ( I do not represent Greenworks )

Do you need to have two batteries attached for it to work? I have a 5 and a 4 Ah battery, will this work?

Asked by: Fighton925
It requires two batteries to operate, and the runtime will be determined by the smaller capacity battery. So, in your case, the 4 Ah battery will discharge first, and the tool will stop running, even though the 5Ah battery will have some charge remaining. This is because this is actually a 120 volt system, and the two batteries are connected in series to operate the 120 volt universal motor that runs on both AC and DC power.

When support was asked if it was battery only our was it corded too, the answer was given that it is only battery and no corded option. However it is called a hybrid, it shows a power cord in the pictures and it says it has both in the description.

Asked by: Miker
Hello Miker, We're sorry for the confusion. You are correct. This unit does have a cord that can be used on a 120V power supply and you have the option to use it cordless using batteries from our GreenWorks 80v line.

Does this work without batteries? Can it be plugged into household 120v mains power?

Asked by: SolRosenburg
Hello SolRosenburb, This unit (700502) is a corded/cordless unit. It can be used with the included cord (cord length 10F) or with any 60V battery; battery and charger sold separately. While the unit can be use with one battery, it will need two (fully charged) batteries for full power/max run time.
