QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Must I use soap for this 2000 PSI Electric pressure Washer? If I don't put soap in the soap dispenser, what will happen?

Asked by: Mahalo
If you don't use the soap tank this will not affect the unit. It's worth noting, you can only apply soap using the designated black soap nozzle. Once you switch to any other nozzle, soap will not come through.

What is the mix ratio on the soap dispenser?

Asked by: Christ06
Hello Christ06, We recommend using a designated pressure washer soap. Most solutions should have the dilution ratio listed, however, if not, we advise of a 10:1 water to soap ratio.

I am having difficulty with my pressure washing coming on consistently and staying on.

Asked by: Hardyboy
Hello Hardyboy, Thank you for your email. It sounds as though your nozzles may be clogged or there is some air trapped in the unit, these are common issues. With the following troubleshooting, this should be resolved! Please be sure to follow closely as these steps are not as effective when altered. 1) To clean the nozzles, soak all of your nozzles in a half and half mixture of warm water and white vinegar. Soak all the nozzles for about an hour and then proceed to poke your nozzle cleaning tool or paper clip through the end of the nozzle hole to poke out any debris. After you have done this, rinse them with warm water. Your nozzles will now be free of any obstructions causing the unit to malfunction. 2) Purge any excess air from the pump. Set up the unit as per usual and ensure you are not using an extension cord. Remove any nozzle that may be connected at the end of the wand. Make sure that you have a green light on the GFCI on the power cord. Turn your garden hose on but leave the pressure washer turned OFF. With the pressure washer turned off, squeeze on the trigger for about 3 minutes – allowing the water to run through the unit at no pressure. In doing so, you are bleeding the unit out of any air that may be stuck in the pump. After 3 minutes, turn the unit on. If it is running, reinstall one of your clean nozzles and continue using the unit. 3) Ensure that the water source is fully opened and is at least 60PSI. 4) There should be 10' of unrestricted garden hose between the hose connection and the unit, any kinks will prevent the flow of water going into the unit and prevent proper pressure. If you are still having trouble, please give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 or send an email to info@greenworkstools.com. Thank you!

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Working great so far! I purchased this last week. I put it together one evening (super easy to set up) and spent five hours (almost) non-stop using it the next day. My porch had gotten really bad - blackish gunk in the eaves and mildew/mold on the vinyl siding and brick floor. The turbo nozzle took it all off. I haven't even used the soap yet or the other nozzles. Today, I'm tackling the back patio which is worse and I'll test out the soap and see if that cuts down on the time to clean. The only complaint I have is the hose kept getting kinked but I think that's because it was so tightly wound out of the box - by the end of the five hours, it had relaxed some and I expect it will be better going forward.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Motor will NOT RUN and company won't answer phones I bought this and it worked fine the first time. The second time, the motor would turn for a split second and wouldn't run, but after pushing the reset a few times it finally ran. It did this again the third time I tried to use it. The fourth time, the same thing happened, but it took a few minutes to get it to run. So, I tried calling the company multiple times and no answer and couldn't leave a message. Now, it won't run at all and I still can't get ahold of anyone and haven't heard back from an email. I was looking forward to using this, but it won't work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good machine with no support from Greenworks Bought this machine less than a year ago from Lowe's. Machine ran great for maybe 10 uses. Then without warning machine would not pressure. Tried all troubleshooting tips to no avail. Tried to return to Lowe's and they would not take it. Call Greenworks help line was 70th in line close to 2 hour wait. Sent in email and got an immediate return email with contact number. No other contact for close to 2 weeks. Sent another email and have not heard from anyone from Greenworks to date. OK machine but the company support is very poor and no existent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for the money! Actually this is the 2nd one that I have owned. I purchased the first one in 2018 nd used it quite heavily before it went bad. I checked the receipt and it was 7 days before the one year warranty expired. I contacted Greenworks and they sent me a letter to return the broken one to Lowe's and receive a new one!! Great customer service! Better than expected! Keep in mind that this is not a heavy duty unit but works well for around the house projects.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I bought this because of the features. After about 5 hours use over two days power washing the house, the unit developed a leak in the pump housing. I returned it to Lowes and got a replacement. The second one lasted less time before the pump started acting up. The pressure would drop suddenly without cause then resume. Eventually the pump was only running at low power. I returned this one also and opted to try another brand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Handy Pressure Washer for Residential Use This is a good economical electric pressure washer for residential use. It is handy, lightweight and can be operated easily. But this pressure washer may have a generic soap/detergent leaking issue from the soap tank, which needs to be fixed by the manufacturer. I purchased this Model GPW 2006, 2000 psi Pressure Washer recently and assembled it. I filled detergent designed for pressure washer into the soap tank and moved the pressure washer towards middle of the driveway and noticed the detergent was leaking from the tank. It is a concentrated liquid which creates streaks and needs to be washed right away. After my investigation, I noticed that there is a small gap in the hole in the soap tank where the clear plastic tubing comes out. As I tilted the pressure washer a little to move it around, the detergent leaked from the small gap I believe. So, the small gap needs to be sealed somehow to correct the problem. Hopefully, someone reads this and have it resolved soon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Used less than 3 times and now it's garbage Used this product 1 time the first year and 1 time the second year to wash the deck. Stored in 50+ degrees at all times. This year a it leaked water after using it for 1 hour. Called greenworks and after being on hold for over 1 hour, the support agent tellls me the steel part that broke is attached to motor and can't be fixed. I used it twice and it broke the 3rd time! Never purchased this brand before and never will again. Multiple users have had this same issue; see reviews on this site. No offer to make it right or fix the product which is obviously poorly made and defective.
