I see 2amp batteries listed. Will a GreenWorks 60v/5amp battery work with the pole hedger? I have two of those. If the 5amp works, when will we be able to purchase just the tool? Thank you

Asked by: jhg1
Hello jhg1, If they are the same voltage you can cross between tools and chargers. The only issues you may experience using a heavier battery is the added weight to the unit which may not be as comfortable to handle as a smaller battery.

There are some very conflicting answers to your products. I am interested in the 60V pole hedge trimmer. You answer that it is 9.3 ft long but I see it is only 6.5 long. Is this unit different than the one that Lowes sells? PH60B00 is their model

Asked by: Howie70
Hello Howie70, The measurements are below for each section. 9’1’’ full length (from handle base to bar tip). Bottom and middle sections = 36” long Top section (including saw) = 39.5” Long. Yes the two models are the same however PH60B00 is a tool only unit, battery and charger will not be included.

Are these going to be back in stock? I have a bunch of the other 60v tools and would like to get this one also, but can't find it anywhere. Does the 80v version work with the 60v battery?

Asked by: Kris26
Hello Kris26, This is a Lowe's exclusive. Currently we do not have an ETA for replenishment. 60V and 80V are different battery platforms. They are not interchangeable.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, built to last I am very pleased with my purchase. I already have the 60V lawn mower, string trimmer, and blower, so this was a no brainer. The pole saw is heavy duty and had no problems ripping through some dead branches in my 50 foot tall tree. I am impressed with the quality too. I had a tree limb spin on me when I was cutting it and it pinched the blade and the chain. I was afraid it was going to break my new pole saw but I was able to secure it and free the heavy limb with a hand saw. The pole saw has a great reach but can be a bit heavy when your arms are outstretched. Overall, very satisfied and would recommend the brand to my friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from trimmer head moves during cutting The cutter worked great and the battery lasts a long time. I already had a string trimmer and wanted a similar batter unit for a second battery. The product was easy to assemble and worked great at first. However, when I hit a larger stem, the head moved from it's angle position and I had to prepare for it or the trimmer would have dove into the bush or hedge I was trying to cut level. I don't know if there is an issue where the pin isn't locking well into the hole that holds the angle in place or if there is damage to the pin. I haven't contacted customer service yet, as I am still able to use the tool to do my work. When finished, I will contact them and see what the issue is.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great idea, poor performance for medium duty Great idea, poor design using plastic, 60 V plenty of energy, cuts great, pole should be 12" longer, Plastic twist connection clamp continually disconnects the power- a major pain; a SINGLE set screw between wimpy plastic ears inside the lower housing keeps the cutter from rotating, that is until you cut something more than a small green weed. Forced to correct since the warranty does not cover their design, I added a hose clamp above the set screw since the plastic ears were broken, then drilled and inserted 3, 3/4" set screws. Works like a camp now. Will likely engineer an extension later.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I used my Greenworks pole saw for the first time this weekend. I was extremely disappointed. The saw would only work occasionally. If you pushed the safety switch and squeezed the trigger it might start but when you released the trigger and tried to restart you could hear a click at the saw but nothing. If you moved the chain/blade manually by hand (this did not seem safe) the saw might start. It took 30 minutes to cut one branch. It also seemed to leak an excessive amount of bar oil, more so then normal. I have two Greenworks blowers and am very pleased with their performance. I am looking to return/exchange the pole saw in hopes that mine might just be defective. I have sent two emails and no response.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A monster! PORT ANGELES, Wa — This tool is a monster. I don’t know what else to call something this long, this powerful, and this challenging to the unsuspecting or disrespectful. But for attacking those bare high branches that Northwest loggers call widow makers, you couldn’t find a better — to quote Arlo Guthrie’s Alice’s Restaurant — implement of destruction. And once you take its measure, it’s a blast to use. The saw arrives in multiple pieces, one of which is attached to the power unit. That’s the one with the saw. The other is mated to the battery compartment and the controls. The saw parts limbs from their trunk so fast you almost don’t believe it until the branch crashes to the ground. To shield your noggin, you’ll need a hart hat, one with a facemask unless you want wood chips in your eyes, nose and mouth. But before you make that first cut, read the manual and believe the part that says the power head pushes back at you as soon as you pull the trigger. An ordinary chainsaw pulls itself into the cut. On an undercut, this machine does the opposite — at the end of a 9-foot-long pole. But fast? Yahshooryoobetcha, as the old Swedish immigrant loggers used to say. On my first job, I dropped a dozen branches up to 3 inches thick from a towering lodgepole pine in about 10 minutes. Got kindling?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Reach, Great for Palm Trees I wasn't sure that I needed this pole saw, as I was sure my chainsaw and ladder were sufficient for the jobs around my house. However, I am in love with this saw. I got it for a tree that needed some serious help, since the limbs were out of reach, but I ended up realizing that the pole saw is perfect for palm trees as well. My palm trees look like they were professionally trimmed, and I saved $50 per tree that I trimmed myself. It is quick and easy, and I have started trimming neighbors' trees just to get to use it more. Excellent purchase and I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More cutting power than expected Before buying I received advice from a friend who had one. I am very pleased with it and really surprised by the power. I can cut just about anything it can reach. And, the chain has held up well and remains sharp after lots of use. I highly recommend!
